Hello, my lovely nanners.

Yesterday, my paternal grandmother passed peacefully. She had dementia / Alzheimer's for the past several years and did not really know us anymore. My father, aunt, uncle, and I were with her, and although I am sad I can say that heaven has gained a kind, sweet, and loving angel. She was a very religious woman, and as the priest was anointing her, it became apparent she was ready to be with God. By the time he was done blessing her, she was gone, and I think it's exactly as she would have wanted.

TK - My condolences. So sorry for your loss.

Thank you, lovely nanners.

Just trying to get through one day at a time, one moment to the next. The wake (or visiting hours as most call them) is on Wednesday, the funeral Thursday am.

Thanks for all the support, everyone. I really appreciate it.

The wake is tonight, funeral tomorrow, and I have been spending the past couple of days getting everything in order because we're due for some inclement weather and I want everything ready to go so we can be efficient. Boys clothes are layed out for the next two days, made a bag of snacks and coloring books to keep Squirt quiet in church if need be, stuff like that.

My grandmother had seven grandchildren, and we are all going to be her pallbearers. I have never done that before. I think it is very sweet to have us do it, but I am a little nervous as well.

On the good news front I had my last physical therapy appointment today! My knee still gets stiff, but my range of motion is 100% and it's really just a matter of waiting for scar tissue to heal and my knee to come back to its normal self. I have trouble kneeling / squatting and have exercises I can do to help with that, but other than that, it is all good.

TK sorry for your loss. I hope all goes well with the weather.

I haven't been on in awhile. Night school is keeping me busy.

My flipping ex husband has, for the 2nd time, filed for bankruptcy. The first time it was just him who filed bankruptcy. Today I got a letter stating that he and 2nd wifey filed Chap. 13 back in OCTOBER 2012. I hope to hell that it doesn't affect child support. One would think that someone with a Bachleor's degree in Accounting would be able to manage his finances. He and 2nd wifey bring home about $60,000. Hello, once I recieve child support I make $21,000.

Thinking of you and your family this morning, TK. Hugs!

PAMom, sending hugs to you! As I understand it from one of my financially inept friends, the bankruptcy court is harder on you on your second time through. I hope the court makes sure you receive your child support.

DH did just book my birthday weekend, Sept. 27-29 at the Beach Club! So maybe we can meet up during a drunken stumble around the F&WF.

I'm sorry her car has been such a drain on you. Is she at a bad job or just starting out?

I think that's a great idea. And good for your DD on making the team!

She works for a small company which does not generate enough business for her. Plus winter is a very slow time. She does not get an hourly wage, but makes 50% of the cost of the groom plus tips. If she has to drive to work for 1 'easy' appt she is only making enough to pay for the gas to get to work. :headache: She asked to work in the store and her manager wanted her to do so b/c she is knowledgeable and good with the customers. The district manager would not allow her (the groomer) to have store hours. They leave her no other choice, but to look for another job. It's too bad b/c the employees and manager all get along well.

....can someone please tell the airlines to PLEASE COOPERATE with my airfare search for April??!??! :badpc:
