Sending prayers and pixie dust to all who were in Sandy's path of wrath.
So far, all of my family and friends who have checked in are OK. Some storm damage, but the humans, furry people and other animals are undamaged. Still waiting on a couple of cousins to check in this morning, but they were OK last night.
I'm one of my family's contact people, so I relay messages from those in the path of a storm or other disaster to the rest of the family. We set this up after Hugo hit and the San Francisco earthquake that quickly followed, as we're spread out over the country and sometimes overseas. It's better than those in the affected area having to call multiple people to assure them they're OK. They only need to call to their contact person.

I'm glad to hear y'all are OK. Hope you still have power today!

I hope she and all of the others are OK!
I've been through more than a few hurricanes and know how it is.

Hope y'all are still OK!Hope everyone who's affected by Sandy stays safe!! The move is over, went well, and now the settling in begins. Just wanted to stop in and say hi while we have power!!! The wind is picking up and DH said he saw the town DPW setting up a generator by the fire station. Yeah, that bodes well....
.

Hi everyone. I still have power.....for now. Maybe I will get lucky and keep it. It won't be too bad in Maine considering other areas. Tonight we will have heavy rain, possible flooding and wind gusts 50/60 mph.

I'll be near your neck of the woods next week. Heading to a resort just south of Myrtle Beach. I know you're not in MB. And love the Cackalakie reference! I know where you're from! We're fine down in North Cackalakie. But it has gotten real cold real quick. Like 50 degrees. Brrr. (Or at least brrr to us)

OOH! Thank you! I need to file this one!
Just checking in with ya'll. Anyone heard from kimmar?
I hope she and all of the others are OK!
