Thanks. There is a dinner before the dance, but my husband didn't want to go to the dinner. I'm hoping a few of the people who said they were attending show up so I have someone to hang out with. Even when I finally get to go out, I'm still alone.

One of my friend's is a musician and his wife gets stuck alone a lot at his events. We go to keep her company when we can get a babysitter and the event is at a non-smoking venue, but we're not huge fans of hip hop and stick out a bit.

One of my friend's is a musician and his wife gets stuck alone a lot at his events. We go to keep her company when we can get a babysitter and the event is at a non-smoking venue, but we're not huge fans of hip hop and stick out a bit.

She must really appreciate you keeping her company. I know I would. All public places are smoke free in Maine. I can't attend private indoor parties or private clubs that allow smoking. My allergies/sinuses won't allow it.

kwit, when a camera actually picks up the rain, it is RAINING!! Wow, no wonder it took you so long to dry out!


Mornin' nanners and boo boos! And so it has begun at our house....I've taken down everything hanging on the walls (so we can spackle and paint) and have started packing up knik-knaks and anything I don't use on a daily basis. This afternoon we're going to take some things over to the barn/shed (really, what is that thing??....a sharn?...a bed?!..... Ok, I'm going to call it a barn from now on. Not a barn as in livestock, but it's definitely bigger than a shed).

We have three weeks until the big move so I really need to get the piddly stuff out of the way!

Me too. We're moving the same weekend that gave us our one and only big snowstorm last year!! It really needs to not do that again.
