This is a copy of my post on the Community Board, but thought maybe someone here could help, too!
DD19 has been accepted to the Fall 2013 College Program! She doesn't know her role yet, but is auditioning for a character/mover role on 3/14. One of her concerns about living in FL and being part of the CP will be her opportunity to dance on a regular basis. She is looking for a good dance studio that provides advanced classes. She is accustomed to spending about 20 hours a week in the dance studio. While we know that won't be possible while working at WDW, she needs to find a studio where she can dance... and is considering not doing the CP if she cannot find a place to continue her training.
DD's primary focus is contemporary ballet and modern, but will need a classical ballet class several times a week, to keep her technique and pointe work strong. She isn't necessarily looking for a studio that does recitals and competitions, but rather a place where she can take classes as they fit into her work schedule. I know this is asking a lot without having any real, definite information. If anyone can steer us in the right direction towards a good dance studio, please let us know!
