Hi Everbody

Today I had the pleasure of meeting FAWN. Her family is cruising with mine in January. We found out that we only live an hour away from eachother, so we met up today at a CVS in her town.
I also met her 2 beautiful daughters. We talked as if we were old friends for a long time. Now I can't wait to meet the rest of the family. After talking to her, I realized that I had never seen a question about dance classes on board.

Well I would like to know how many of you have taken the classes and what were they like? I have wanted to take ballroom dance lessons for years. So after we booked this trip I asked my DH if he would go with me. I don't want to get dressed up just to go to dinner. I want to learn some new moves and get on the dance floor. ( I didn't go to my prom and had a courthouse wedding) I want to become Cinderella I guess.

I printed out the newest Western Navigator that I couldfind and there they were! I do't even have to pay for classses at home or drag DH out after a long day at work. He agrees but I see him standing off to the side and having to drink afew first. FAWN says that her DH sounds the same way. So I would like to hear stories from both sides.

Thanks
Candy

Ernie said to tell you it's "a guy thing"! Don't worry...no matter how many drinks it takes, we'll have them shaking their booties by nightfall! :smooth:

It was SO great meeting today! We sure did gab up a storm, didn't we...Scott must have thought we were nutty. The girls have pronounced you "pretty cool"...not an easy rating to get these days from kids! Ernie's happy he'll have a guy who will understand why he doesn't want to take dance lessons...and a guy to sympathize with once they DO take the lessons! :bounce: :bounce: Smart man I'm marrying, eh?

I'd also love to know if anyone did the dance classes? Are our hubbys in the minority or majority here? Were the classes well attended? Who taught them?

Candy....we are going to have a BLAST on this cruise. We have to start a threat about a Dismeet sometime....maybe one of the bars??

I have never attended the dance classes onboard the Magic but have always wanted to.

I think the class only lasts about 30-45 minutes and is taught by the Cruise Staff.

That's about all I know...sorry.

We attended the dance classes last year on the Magic and plan to do so again this fall. I can't remember the names of the dance instructors, but I noticed that the two dance instructors were regular members of the activity staff on board the ship. The lessons were about an hour and we touched on two basic moves for the rumba, swing, and fox trot. We attended both sessions and each time there were no more that 4 or 5 couples.

Have fun!

Doug
