..... since the new Jurassic Park ride will be opening in 2016 as well.

I was having a pretty crummy day at work until I saw this!!!!!

Is the Jurassic Park ride a sure thing? If so is there a thread about it. I tried searching but couldn't find it.

Jurassic park is my favorite!

THey aren't closing anything. A new ride is being built behind Thunder Falls. It is a Kong ride based in Skull Island. It was originally supposed to open next year but it will be late 2015 at the earlier. Construction has already begun. It is rumoured to be similar to the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland with much larger ride vehicles and tour guides.

Rumour is that the might rebrand Jurassic Park to Jurassic World.

Well shucks, that just killed the rest of my day. I was so hoping they decided on another Jurassic park ride since they came out with the anniversary 3D version.

I have never been a Kong fan (sorry).

Didn't the last Kong ride burn down or something? That should have been a sign.

interesting that you reference indy ride @ DL in lieu of WDW's dinosaur which is on the same ride platform but oh-so poorly executed.

betting they don't make a yeti mistake and the design allows for repairs to any large stationary animatronic.;)

I don't think the Kong/Skull Island attraction is intended to be part of Jurassic Park but adjacent, kind of as a natural extension of pre-historic-lost in time types of "worlds".

I meant more with the temple aspect than the ride aspect when I referenced the Indy ride. Supposedly it will be going through ruins and stuffs.

They Kong ride will also use some of the same technology as the Kongfrontation at Universal Hollywoods backlot tour.
