WHAT IS THE CHEAPEST YOU'VE PAID FOR A FLIGHT FROM DALLAS/FT. WORTH AIRPORT TO WDW? WHAT AIRLINE WAS IT?

I paid $99 (before taxes) round trip for a non stop flight with Delta 3 years ago. The flight was 2 weeks after September 11, although the fair was offered & booked in July 2001. This time we're paying $123 (before taxes) round trip, non stop with Delta. This one was booked in early August, I believe.

I just paid $176 on American (non-stop) for travel December 21 returning on January 5th.

Airtran normally has good prices DFW to MCO, check there. Travelocity has a tool to check airline prices, but I find that going to the airline website and finding the same flight is usually $5-10 cheaper per ticket.

we paid $188 rt for Oct 5-12 on American. Rackin' up those frequent flyer points too!

bumping this because of delta!

delta changed our flights for our nov trip. they have us arriving in nashville tn 3 hours AFTER our nashville to orlando flight!

looking for alternatives to delta!!! anyone else?

thanks for any input!

(things sure were easier when i lived 2 hours away and drove twice a month!)

We paid $112.50 RT/NS from DFW to MCO a couple of weeks after 9/11 (we booked much before 9/11).
We have never paid over $200.00 RT/NS but for our Thanksgiving trip we have to. Actually we are debating flying out Thanksgiving morning instead of Wed. before. Between the hotel (ASMu) and the later day we would save over $300.00 for the 4 of us Thanksgiving vs the day before. Still not completely decided.
That dang high airfare!

Hi Marylee!
Funny we should meet here too! We could have just drove to each other's houses to pass on the PM! haha
Anyways, I totally understand about Delta (which actually stands for D oesn't E ver L eave T he A irport). We were not impressed by them when we flew to Cody Wyoming last spring break. All flights were delayed interminally, and they completely tore up my husband's very expensive tripod and refused to take any kind of responsibility for it. We ended up stranded in Salt Lake City overnight because we missed our connecting flight onto Cody. Taught me the importance of packing the essentials into the carry-ons. We won't be flying with them willingly, American seems the way to go.
Check with Orbitz and then Expedia and then check Southwest.com, you would have to fly out to Austin or Houston then onto MCO on SW. See which carrier gives you the best deal then go to their individual website and book there and save the additional $5 per ticket fee that Orbitz or Expedia would have charged. American offers this set up too you just have to click on More Options in the reservations screen, then on the following screen it has a #5- check all carriers, click that and it does a comparison shopping type deal too.
We bought our airfare for $188 rt back in July thru AA, good luck!

There was an article in the Dallas Morning News today saying that Southwest is considering taking the open spots at DFW airport left by Delta's pullout. Wow, no more Wright amendment restrictions if that ends up happening!

Gosh, wouldnt' THAT be awesome! SWA has some great prices to Orlando... from Houston, LOLOL. It will be interesting to see if they take up those extra spaces made available by Delta.

That would be way awesome! SW is such an awesome company. BTW- I checked AA again and their fares were cheaper! So I called them and they are sending me a $40 refund! Yahoo!

The flights from Houston havent been priced all the great lately. Used to be we could catch a flight for $176 RT now its never under $200. The best rate in the past year I got was $202 and the worst was $252. But compared the great deals I have seen on flights on the east coast to Orlando ours a bit higher.

We are trying to decide if we should fly down the day before Thanksgiving at $259.00 pp or wait and fly Thanksgiving morning for $189.00.
Since there are 7 of us it would add to a decent amount. I figured the difference would more than pay for CP.:D

For that amount I'd wait til Thanksgiving morning. There are 7 of us too and it would be a great savings for us.
