i am going to try and go and the last time i went to a meet was probably over 5 years ago at rainforest cafe and was a small group.

28th works well for me too.

I'll have to get a headcount in case my mom and sister want to come- the other disney freaks in our family. I'll bring my DS1 for sure.

I just stumbled across this thread and am thinking about attending the September meet. I would be a total newbie, since I've never been to a meet before, and it would just be me (I would never get DH to attend ).

I'm from McKinney and thought it might be nice to make some DIS friends in the area. Anyone from McKinney/Frisco...?

Any-who, I'm kind of nervous because I'm a little shy, but I think I will try and make it.

I'll be a newbie too!! DH works on weekends, so if my girls aren't doing anything they may come with me, but it may be just me!!

I'm not from your area though, I'm over in Decatur.

We are a fun bunch -- very family-oriented -- just sitting around talking and enjoying each others company. It will be a pleasure to see you there.

My sister is a relative newby; only been to two meets. She doesn't post here but enjoys coming with me to the meets. She also lives in McKinney off 380 near the community college.

I noticed you were a Disney bride. My husband and I were married at the wedding pavillion July 2003.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting you. Come and join us and before you know it you will be saying "you remember 5 years ago when we had that meet at Olive Garden" This is a great group of people.

My DH won't be there either, I am lucky to get him to go to WDW with me, nothing much beyond that. lol

I am in the plano area, so not far from you. I am hoping to attend with my son (10 months old)

I don't know if I'll be at the meet or not. I injured my knee a couple of weeks ago and had arthroscopic surgery today. I expect to be getting around fine by then (and ready for an October 10th WDW trip! ) even if I'm still kind of a hobbler.

Please keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for me that my recovery will be quick, and as painless as possible. Right now I am at my mom's (KayTX's) house and she is taking great care of me like mommies do .

Hi!! I hope you decide to come -- and don't be nervous; I think if you asked most of us we would all tell you that we are kinda shy but we all LOVE to talk about Disney and meet new DIS friends!!

Hey -- do we think someone should make nametags this time? I swear I talk to people but I have no clue who they are....I would volunteer but I am not very creative; I would be happy to buy some pre-made tags and a Sharpie, if nothing else

I'm sure my DH and DS's will be playing either XBox 360 or computer games. Unless one of the kids get sick, I will be able to make it. Tshirt and jeans ok? I don't really do the dress up thing.

Hi We live in Keller, too. Right by CHS!! You sound like me -- I can be really shy but once I get to know you, I am never quiet again!! T-shirt and jeans are perfect -- lots of us wear something Disney when we get together.
