I have contacted Brenda Bennett and submitted my info as well as gotten her standard sheets of safe snacks. So, I am all set in that regard. Popcorn and posicles safe etc. Divvies available in certain places. I have all that info.

What I was hoping for was someone who has been recently could let me know if there were any other safe treats at each park? Like, is there a dairy free treat at the Main Street Bakery (besides Divvies?) Is that Apple cinnamon pretzel at HS really dairy free? Are Dole whips really lactose free?

Anyone with dairy allergies know? I want to avoid standing in line getting my hopes up only to hear "no, everything has dairy". I am lactose intolerant so I can have milk protein, just no lactose. I also really want to avoid reading the big binders. I am travelling with my young children and they won't want to wait in line forver while Mommy reads the giant book.

Last time I went I was told there was no tofutti or rice dream at HS ice cream stand and it was supposed to be there.

Thanks!!

Unfortunately I don't know and need to find it out myself. I'm lactose intolerent as well complicated by being diabetic and allergic to all of the artificial sweeteners but Splenda.

I have dairy intolerance ue to IBS.

dolewhip does have casein which is a form of Dairy, but yes it is lactose free.

The Ice cream shop at MK does have tofutti and rice dream.
The bakery has Divvies, along with brownies that are dairy free.

The HS ice cream stand does run out of tofutti it seems, when I went with my DH (who isn't dairy free) said that they only had enough tofutti for 1 person when we ordered.

I am having a Dole Whip! Yippee!!! :cool1:

I have had tofutti on Main street and it was the highlight of my trip. I got to order icecream in an icecream shop! :goodvibes

The popcorn is dairy free???

So you mean if I went to a little stand/kiosk/booth & got popcorn in a container out of a popcorn machine my ds could eat it?

If so then yay I am excited.

no the ones from the stand are not dairy or lactose free. Repotredly there is a special Gluten free/dairy free caramel popcorn that is sold in the Bakery.
(I haven't seen it)

I don't know why the popcorn would not be diary and lactose free. They aren't using real butter on the popcorn that I know of. Popcorn is normally popped in a butter flavored OIL. Melted butter isn't poured over it.

Popcorn Orville Redenbacher’s

Here's the whole document if it helps someone:

It is from Divvies. I had it recently & it is very yummy. My mother's cousin's brother knows maybe the owner of Divvies so they gave us some. I haven't tried the cookies, yet but they also gave us a chocolate bunny at Easter time & it was good too (I tried a bite before I gave it to my 4 yo).

To hijack this thread, I just got my email from Brenda Bennett & I am so upset that the chicken nuggets/strips have whey in them as does the bread for burgers/hot dogs. We last went in 2005 & my ds, then 22 months, was happy as a clam eating chicken nuggets since that was & still is his favorite.

I did see that they have a new chicken but it isn't all over.

And she also wrote that they are going to be using Earth Balance in the future which tastes so much better then Fleichmans unsalted.

Now we are trying to figure out what to feed a picky 4 1/2 yo. We don't like to do alot of TS but we might have to add a few just to give him some other food.

And not for nothing but I wish they would get the tofutti frozen pizza since they use their 'ice cream' since it is dairy free. At least it would be another option.

monorail, I love the divvies cookies! - you could get the kosher chicken nuggets ( note last time I tried them - they stunk )

Divvies - is a company that makes peanut-, tree nut-, milk-, and egg-free snacks. Wdw carries some of thes, like the cookies, jellybeans and popcorn.

They are online at http://www.divvies.com/

I wish that I knew this before our last trip. Can you gat the tofutti at the plaza too?

yes you can get tofutti or rice dream at the Plaza. ( Most table services tend to only have the tofutti )

Also if anyone can find out where the Divvies in Hollywood studios are sold, please post.

Any CS ideas on what I can give my niece that is lactose free?

I was thinking we could share Chicken Strips/Nuggets and Fries, but now I see that she can't eat them. Neither of us eat much at one sitting.

MK-1/2 chicken and fries
EPCOT-
DHS-
AK-

Is there someplace that will make her a soy cheese pizza?

Sort of OT but not really....

I know I am going to get slammed for this one ..but I just felt like sharing a little known fact well quite frankly because I am bored and I feel like it.

Did you know that all Homosapiens (thats Humans for you I.D. types :rolleyes1 ) are Lactose intollerent just to varrying degrees?

It has been through an intersting combination of genetic mutation and gene flow that enables the majority of humans of European descent to enjoy dairy products. However, like every other aspect of our being that dreaded 9 letter word that begins with an E isn't perfect and many of us especially those with African descent suffer from lactose intollerance. popcorn::

It is a well known fact many many people are lactose intolerant. Why do you think Lactaid does so well? :)

I do think there are some of us that have extreme lactose intolerance. I have colitis so any lactose makes me horribly ill. I avoid all milk at all costs. I don't even drink lactaid milk, or take the pills. It doesn't work.

But, I can have soy cheese with casein in it so I am clearly not milk protein intolerant in small amounts.

I am THRILLED so many people are lactose intolerant. I can finally buy dairy free food in the regular supermarket including soy cheese and soy yogurt. Yay!
