We have a FP+ for BOG lunch on our upcoming trip in a few weeks. My DS is allergic to milk and eggs and originally I thought I could just get him plain pasta for his lunch meal. However, I just read a dining review that stated the kid's pasta is a pre-made casserole with sauce and cheese already mixed in and that plain pasta isn't available. Anyone have an experience with kids and allergies at BOG lunch?

Thanks!

We are also considering BOG for lunch and they seem to pre-make a majority of the food for lunch and it isn't easy to get modifications beyond leave off the sauce. Like can't get kids pasta without cheese or ham and cheese sandwich without ham. Is he flexible? They seem to have set up the menu to have 1 thing that works for most of the allergy people but on the menu every kids item has milk or eggs listed but it may be ranch dressing that can be left off the fish sticks meal or the mashed sweet potatoes on the pork dish could be subbed for fries type thing. I have heard though a number of people saying all their allergy person could have was fries and a drink. But in some cases it was they could have had the fish but don't like it so all that was left was fries. I'm willing to just eat fries for my family but they may not work with a kiddo...

We ate there last week and ordered the pasta without cheese and it was no problem. Once you add the pasta to your meal list, there is a little pencil that shows up next to it. Click on it and you can remove the cheese. A lot of the other dishes have modifications you can make as well such as dressing on the side or sandwich without the toppings...

My son is also allergic to dairy and eggs, so I can totally relate (he had anaphylaxis from a small amount of dairy at 8 months, and is much less sensitive now, as we get his blood tested at Hopkins annually, but still he avoids it totally since he still reacts and we do carry epipens and always will).

Just a little reminder (although I'm sure you always do this) but even ordering pasta plain let them know about the allergy. I'm saying this, as my son now drives me crazy when he fails to tell a server he has allergies (he's 16 which is a hard age, they think they're invincible sometimes at this age) so even if he orders what he feels is safe, they need to know about the allergy. We've (rarely but it happens) been to places where the pasta has some egg in it - but if Disney knows they will ensure your safety! This is one reason we have taken so many trips there - they will change gloves even so there's no cross contamination.

I'm sure you'll do fine it sounds - but sometimes it does get hard when the choices are limited. We've found some counter service places go over the top to make sure he can have something nice, where others are so busy (but we usually by now know where he can get something he likes - BOG is so new that it's hard to find reports of allergic folks and their choices).

I wish you a good safe trip!!
