Dairy free custom cakes - anyone order a custom allergy cake?

We would like to have something pretty for my daughter for her birthday, and so are trying to get information on ordering a custom cake, but the cake line is impossible to get through on.

has anyone done this successfully?

Check out Baby Cakes in DTD. They do allergen free baking and deliver to all WDW Table Service restaurants.

I have a dairy allergy and my cousin has a nut allergy. We ordered the special allergy cake from Disney itself back in 2008. It's, I believe, nuts, dairy, egg, wheat free. (Prob the top 8.) I didn't like it at all. It was too many things free for me.

We ordered a cake from babycakes in 2011, 2012 and will when we go in two days! We love, love, love babycakes! They deliever it to your ADR so it's really easy too. The only thing is they use coconut oil and some people with nut allergies have issues with that. I would definitely call them and speak with them though! Hope it works out for you!

I have also heard good things about babycakes special orders to the Disney parks. Just be careful if anyone has nut allergies, they use ingredients made on shared lines with nuts and they use coconut products.

If you're not familiar with BabyCakes, be aware that their products are all gluten free. If your daughter isn't accustomed to gluten free baked goods, she might be disappointed in the taste/texture (as I was). My friends who regularly eat gluten free baked goods all rave about BabyCakes.

We've been trying to avoid the gluten free baked goods, as we don't always like their texture.

I'm just frustrated that I can't seem to order a dairy free cake easily - it's baby cakes or nothing.

Babycakes is awesome. My non-allergic husband who is a bit of a cake snob loves their cakes. He's not a huge fan of the icing, though. I love Babycakes. I ordered an anniversary cake for us from there on our June trip. It was delivered to Sanaa at AKL. Absolutely delicious and worth every penny so that we could share a special dessert together. We had chocolate cake with chocolate chips and chocolate icing.

DH also ordered me a dozen cupcakes delivered to our house for my birthday last month. Best birthday present ever-I didn't have to bake my own safe cake!

I would highly recommend ordering from there.
