I just found out that my baby is allergic to soy and dairy so I have to cut it from my diet(since I am breastfeeding). We are going to Disney in September and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue (can't have dairy and soy) and what they were able to get to eat at different restaurants. The main restaurants we are headed to are Boma for Dinner...I am really going to miss getting zebra domes : ( and possibly California Grill.......but any pics or descriptions of what you got would be helpful. Thanks.

I had the same problem but was lucky enough to be able to add them back in a week prior to leaving for the world. I did however make arrangements with special dining services before hand so that they were prepared for me. (I was so excited when I got to cancel them!) I'd call special dietary dining and add the restrictions to your ADRS. When I talked to the woman on the phone she told me that when I got to the ts they would have a chef come out to help me choose something safe.

It is frustrating going through it. The weight flew off me though as a result of such a restricted diet... there is diary in EVERYTHING!! Who knew that bread and french fries had diary?! Anyway, good luck and hopefully she will outgrow it soon. My son was fine with dairy by 8 months! But those 5 months I was off it were a killer!

I hear ya..I found out I was lactose intolerant right before we went to WDW in May and I used Lactaid most times but sometimes it worked but mostly it didnt so for our Oct trip I decided to eliminate the issue of dairy so I called the dining line and had dairy free diet noted on all my reservations..they did say the Chef will come out to tell me what I can and cannot eat and in some circumstances might create a meal for me.

Contact Special Diets and have them send a form for all of your ADR's (via e-mail), you enter in all your information and e-mail it back.

You can also go over to the DisAbilities Board and there might be more information.

You can get Rice Dream icecream at many of the TS places. I don't recall what other dessert choices are that don't contain soy. My niece is lactose intollerant and could eat the Diviies Chocolate Chip Cookies and the brownies (don't recall the manufacturer).
