We gave up park hoppers years ago because park hopping simply takes up too much time. But, I can certainly see why you are considering it.

I have missed so much!!!!!! I had to go back and find out what was going on when you posted on my thread. How dare my real life get in the way of my Dis!
So sorry to hear Skip backed out. One nice thing, that you may not have thought about, is at least he won't be with all worried about what is going on at the farm. I am sure you will have a fabulous time even without Skip... and that does mean another vacation this year!
I will try to keep up with your posts this week. I know that with the way things have been for you that your plans could change yet again!
We did the parkhoppers on our last trip and I so wish we would have saved the money. I understand why they would work for you this trip though.
Congrats on the 7 days days til your trip!
May you be at peace with whatever decision you make about park hopping.
Just a question, if you were not to hop and your parents hop then take the car back to the room. How will you get back to your resort? If you would need a taxi that way too, then it doesn't seem much different than the park hopping and getting a ride back to the resort. Except, of course, for the added expense of hopping.
Well, for my family park hopping is pretty much a no go on all trips. It takes too much time and money for us. However, if I was doing a land/sea trip and had limited time at WDW, I might consider it. It guess it comes down to asking yourself if the picture opportunities are worth $50 more (I think that is what the hopper costs???). But I know that doesn't help much b/c, being a shutterbug myself, I know how much your picture taking means to you. Personally, my vacation pictures are my very favorite souvenir, so I would probably buy the hopper in this one situation and just not buy any other souvenirs at WDW to make up the cost.
Jen - have you checked with the hotel you are staying at that night (off property) to see if they run a free bus to Disney? Even alot of the smaller motels run free shuttles to Disney - that could save you the cab fare if you wanted to stay longer than your parents.
You might want to call the hotel itself, or check it on the AAA website, they might not post it on the Residence website. We belong to AAA, I'll be glad to check their website to see if they have it posted there - which Residence Inn is it?
Jen I think if I were you and I didn't have a lot of park days I wouldn't want to take up any of my time hopping between parks. I would just want to soak up every minute of the park I was at but thats just me. Do whatever you think will be the most fun just remember that hopping is not as quick as it sounds.
Happy 7 days![]()
Yeah for only 7 more days!!![]()
I am not a huge help on the ticket dilema though! We hop all the time, but then we have a car and it doesn't take long to drive from park to park.
Wow Jen, I just stopped in to see how your final plans were going and I found out about your travel partner changes! I'm glad everything is settled. I'm sure you and Claire will miss Skip but it will be nice to at least have your parents there if he can't be.
Have safe and magical travels!
Well I am probably no help either. I always get park hoppers. We usually go to one of the parks during the day, head back to the hotel or go get dinner, then go to a park with EMH and stay there until close. It worked REALLY well for us in December as on EMH days the parks tend to be more crowded in the day time, but it was so cold at night that the crowds thinned out a LOT.
