Daily news sheet?

Every time I go on a cruise, something major happens. George Bush died, John McCain died, Pulse night club shooting happened, the shooting at the gaming competition in Jacksonville happened. The news is no fun when I’m on a ship, so I try avoiding it.
In other words, the world would be a much better place if you would just stop cruising.

See, we now know the source of all the world's problems!

I don't recall ever seeing such a thing but I wasn't looking for it. There's usually at least one news channel available and they are usually running it in the Cove Cafe and/or some of the other lounges (depends on the ship). That's usually what we do. Although we do get an internet package, we only use it for e-mail; we don't use it to read news. We've normally had access to CNN or BBC (on European cruises).

On one of our upcoming cruises on MSC, I've read that they offer a daily newspaper of your choice; I gather they are able to print a condensed version of the NYT, WSJ, other major newspapers. I think that's pretty neat and wonder if DCL will ever try something like this.

I'm pretty sure I saw these on the Magic on our 12n Baltic and our 14n EBTA. I know that I picked these up on our 11n Italy/Greece cruise on Celebrity - and they even had them in multiple languages. I'm pretty sure the Celebrity "newspaper" also included horoscopes and a crossword puzzle.

It's possible they make them available on longer cruises or cruises with lots of sea days (and thus limited connection to the outside world). I'll make a point to look for them when we are on the WBPC in a couple of weeks.
