Cheryl- Glad Sarah made it home safe- have a great weekend with her.
Prayers for all those still being effected by Issac- we still get rain showers occasionally from the storm and it has been gone for a few days- I can't imagine if we were under the main storm.

Today:

stop by school to check on things for tutoring
dinner- ribs, potatoes, vegies
work on resort swap
check in on partner swap

hope the ones near that dam stay safe - why they let people build in flood areas is crazy to me but I still hope everyone stays safe

today is work - boys get out of school early but DH is getting off early so he will be home to meet them

Really really really tired. Had a girl scout leader meeting last night and I am usually so ticked off afterward I can't sleep. Happened again...They just don't know how to run a meeting effectively.

Anyhow, I'm at work. Third long-weekend in a row for me, I could easily get used to this Morgan has today off, DH has taken the day and they are going out to breakfast and then my sister's pool to cool off. Supposed to be in the 90s here today.

I see a couple of coconut rum and cokes in my near future.

Good luck at the doctor's today, Lisa. Thinking of you and Megan.

got an email from school with our calendar they've changed our vacations a bit - xmas break only 9 days 12/20 - 1/1 and only four days for Pres Day wkend ( was 5)....they did get rid of all the extra Early Dismissal days, we had 24 last year getting out 2 1/2 hours, but have instead done 26 "Learning Improvement Fridays" getting out 75 minutes early at least they are all on Fridays if people want to get out of town!
still starting 9/5 and getting out 6/17!!

package up my swaps for mailing
add school calendar to my phone calendar
pull items for future scrapping
swiffer floors
doctor appt 1:40
dinner out with my FIL

Today is my last day of vacation. This week went way to fast. I go back to work tomororw. I sure could use another week, I just don't think my manager will go for that! This morning I paid the bills, cleaned the kitchen and cross stitched for a little while. I'm now going to start tackling my craft room. I need an entire week just for that room!

just got an email from our therapist...have a preliminary meeting on 9/4 at 4pm....we will discuss options at that point and what will need to be done!

Jennifer- DH actually cooks the ribs- he has a smoker so he generally seasons them with a mix Everglades Cactus Dust, a little brown sugar, and Everglades no MSG seasoning and then smokes them in a pan with some apple juice.

It's going to be a family weekend hopefully. Tom's brother told him off abt the need of family days, it must have worked too cause he's been a whole lot better these last few days.

I'm headed for my jammie pants and tees for the night. I will try and finish the last few pages I need to do for the monthly totals and figure out what next months pics will be. xmas 2008 for levi is left to do for this month and so I need to get motivated on that one.

just booked Megan's DLR B-day trip....see my new ticker!

bonus, had enough miles for free airline tickets and enough points for our Marriott 2 night stay...will be staying at the DLRH the first 3 nights then moving to the Marriott!

back from Doc....


megan has a bad ear infection in left and slight in her right ear and has ALLERGIES....dr thinks her infection from a couple months ago wasn't totally cleared up so gave a stronger antibiotic and we are trying some OTC allergy pills for a month ....doc felt that is what is causing her to hear things since her years are so blocked.....silly girl never told me she was feeling ear pain or the stuffiness

hope she will be feeling better in a couple days and our meeting with the therapist will get her emotions on a better level too.

Glad to hear she is on meds and back on the mend.. let's hope this will keep her healthy for a good while..
I know when my youngest stepson was under 5 we had him on a constant round of ABT's for his continual ear infections.. they said he had gotten so use to it that he thought the muffled sounds were normal... luckily with 3 parents we got it figured out pretty quick and got him on the mend...

Lisa glad to hear it's a simple thing!

My allergies have always affected my ears, Levi too. It's no fun. Don't know which OTC allergy med they told you to use but zyrtec causes wicked mood swings in both of us, but it works better than clariten.

Hope she's feelin much better this am!
