What do you use for daily granite cleaning? I'm a quartz woman (kitchen) but had to get granite in the bathroom due to size. The sink is attached. I'm hoping its something strong due to toothpaste and all around sloppy family but gentle enough for the counters.

So what does everyone use?

I don't remeber the recipe, but I made a granite cleaner that has water, rubbing alcohol and I don't remember what else. I have also bought and used the Target brand granite cleaner. It works great in the kitchen. I'd use good ol' cleanser on the bathroom sink.

Daily; I just use a wet sponge and dry w/ a rag.

Very occasionally; I use granite cleaner. My contractor suggested Zep Marble, Granite & Quartz cleaner. I buy it at Home Depot.

My granite is in my kitchen, which is cooked in constantly. It looks as good now as it did when it was installed. That was over a year ago. I bought it because it is durable and low maintenance.

I use the Clorox Naturals cleaner. It's the only cleaner I have found for everyday use that says it is granite safe.

Just use GreenWorks, cleaning wipes, or something like that. Everyone around here has granite and nobody uses a "granite cleaner".

Daily I use a wet sponge and dry with a towel. Every couple months I use a polish. I've had the granite in my bathroom for 3 years it looks the same as when it was new.

method daily granite. I get it at target, but have seen it elsewhere.

Glass Plus. My granite is black and shows every fingerprint and streak. Glass Plus leaves no residue or streaks.

who can reccomend a sealer.. we were told to seal it every year and our 1 year mark is next week...

I use Windex and a dry cloth every day.

For food spills I use a soapy sponge an wipe dry and then use the Windex.

I use method countertop cleaner or clorox greenworks.

Stay ph neutral with your cleaner because either an acid or a base could etch stone.

You should never use any amnonia based products on granite like Windex. First of all, granite is a porous material. Products like windex will wear away the sealer put on the granite and then eventually work its way into the actual granite. This weakens the granite as time goes on, and the granite will start to look pretty bad. Only use celaners specifically made for cleaning granite, or just plain water.

Also, granite does needs to be polished and re-sealed from time to time.

I use Methods Daily Granite cleaner. I little sprtiz on the granite with a a warn wet rag, followed by a good drying. And always wipe water spots up around your sink. Again, the water can leave water stains on the granite that will not come out if left there.

FYI, green Windex doesn't have ammonia.
