Dad's first trip

I finally convinced my dad (72) to join me and DS at the end of the month for a 6-night trip. I have been trying to get him to go for years. This is his first time

He is in very good shape, except is a diabetic and watches his diet. Will most places accomodate a request for sugar-free desserts? What about counter service places?

Now for what I hope isn't a stupid question He says he eats salmon, but only if it is skinless. Can you get skinless salmon?

Every sit down place usually has a sugar free dessert offering. Not sure about counter service as many of them don't have a large dessert selection.

My husband's diabetic, too. The only counter service places with a sugar free dessert that spring to mind are Cosmic Rays's, which has a sugar-free brownie, and Kringla Bakery in Norway which has sugar-free chocolate mousse (*very* good). There may be others, but don't expect to find it too often.
