This was my 5th expo and we had a great time! Between VQs for stores and having tickets ahead of time for the big panels, we had a lot of time for smaller panels and the show floor.
I appreciated how easy it was to get into most of the panels. We ended up seeing the Toy Story 30 years panel, Grey's Anatomy, Stay Tuned You're Watching Disney Channel, Tiana's Adventure panel, and the nighttime show panel, along with the Honda Center. They were all great. I wish the Disney Channel panel had focused more on early 2000s instead of the more recent ones. I know they wanted to promote their new shows, but the people in the room were clearly there for Raven/Corbin and millennial shows/DCOMs. A great idea for next time.
Loved the ease of the Honda Center and having a reserved seat. Definite favorite was the experiences panel, when one of my all time favorite Broadway performers Eden Espinosa came out and sang for a minute and got to announce the new nighttime shows (honestly need to rewatch because I was so excited she was there I completely forgot what she said).
Shopping was much easier than usual. MoG only took about 40 minutes to get into and I loved their selection. I was VERY disappointed with the selection of
D23 related merch though. They ran out very early in the expo. I think they had so much left over from last time that they under ordered this time, but they vastly underordered.
Also had some great conversations with the Imagineers in the Imagineering booth on Friday before it got crazy.
Overall a very successful expo, though I could also do without the 4am VQ wakeup call every morning. I don't go back to sleep easily enough for that.
