D23 question

We are thinking of taking a few days in November to go to LA and I really have wanted to tour the Disney Studios. I have heard if you join D23 you can do a tour. If anyone has info I would love it cuz I have been thinking about joining and if so would love to know if and when you can do a tour.

I did the tour last June and I believe each D23 member is allowed to bring one non-member guest. So if there are four of you that would mean two would need to join D23.

You should be able to sign up for the tour as soon as you are a member. Signing up is easy. You will need your D23 member number to sign up for the tour. I believe you can get that as soon as you sign up online.

The sign-up process for the tour was easy. I believe I got an email like other @3 members with an e-commerce link to sign up for the tour. You may have to just search out the sign up on the website.

The tour is really worthwhile. I recommend it. Good luck!

Each member can buy 2 tickets $60 per person. You have to purchase a silver ($40 plus shipping) or gold ($80 plus shipping) D23 membership to be eligible for the event. Tickets for November 8th go on sale July 2nd.

I just purchased my membership and my mom is going to purchase one on Thursday. I am so excited. Talk about meant to be. We just happened to be talking about it today and decided to go that EXACT weekend. And then when I figured I need to join D23 again the irony that the tickets for our dates go on sale next week. So we didn't miss it. I am so excited!!!!

One more question for those that are members. How long did it take you to get your cards in the mail? We are going to purchase the tour tickets tomorrow but it says you MUST have your card. I have heard a bunch of people say it takes months to get the cards. I have 4 months so hopefully I will get it by then but just curious. I called D23 and they said 4 weeks but it seems like that is not the case. Anyone?

I do not remember exactly...but we joined sometime in February and got our cards sometime in March.

Thanks again Miss Scarlet. That is what D23 said but I have a few friends that said it has been months and they have not received theirs so hoping that mine is the later like yours LOL. I know I have time but it is one of those better safe than sorry type deals since we will be spending almost 300 for 4 of us to go so would hate to not get our card. You would think in that case they would accept our receipts since we paid. But anyway thanks again.
