This was just posted on the LA Times blog.

From the LA Times blog:

On July 14, members of D23 (which is the prestige, dues-membership fan club launched by Disney last year) will be offered a free and final ride on "Star Tours" before the doors get locked. The first 160 members who sign up that morning will get spots on the last run of the "Star Tours" starspeeders, which will be after-hours on the night of July 26.

You can read the whole article here:
LATimes: Disneyland's Star Tours is Closing and D23 Members Get The Last Ride

D23 will have all the details on their website tomorrow (July 7) morning.

I would go, but it's on a Monday night and WAY past my bedtime. :lmao:

Check out the fineprint: Park closes at midnight and this would be after park closing. Ouch!

This is only for the dedicated Star Tours fan.

Boy, it seems like one of our Disneyland Correspondents should be a D23 member. Who would that be? Can't we make that person go? Come on... take one for the team... ;)

Rats, I was afraid that something like this might be scheduled on the final day. I'll be on the ABD Backstage Magic tour and we will be in Hollywood that night. Well, I am still planning on coming the Saturday before, so I guess I'll get my final ride then.

I hope I get a ticket! I was already planning on being there and have sent in my request, but no news yet.

I submitted my request, as well. I was bummed yesterday by the rejected email notifications and the resulting reschedule to today as I had a schedule conflict. I hope nobody really cared that I left a meeting I was hosting for a few moments to return to my keyboard ... :rolleyes1

Any luck? I heard tickets were gone in less than 10 minutes. With only 160 spots, it was a pretty tough ticket to get.
