D23 frustration... Venting post

So,
I was really excited about the upcoming events for D23, especially the studio tour. The event you could register for today at 11:00am. I was on my computer at 10:30 refreshing the page almost every minute. The link became available at 10:56 and I was on it and filled out the stuff super fast (even had stuff prefilled on Word)... However, both dates were full. I am so PISSED. Now, I am on some stupid waiting list. I emailed D23 and Guest Services.

I actually want to cancel my membership if this is how crazy events will be. Just wanted to vent/post my dissapointment with this system.....
 
I totally feel your frustration. I am on the waiting list as well. I can't believe it sold out so quickly! Could you update us if you get a response from D23?
 
I just noticed that they posted this on the event page:

"Thanks to the enthusiasm of D23 Members, interest in our special tours of the Walt Disney Archives was extraordinarily high — so much so, that the first round of tours has been filled to capacity. For those D23 Members who were unable to make tour reservations, rest assured we are exploring ways to offer additional tours later this year! Be sure to watch your D23 FanFare for more details. Thanks again for your interest! "

Sounds like they may add more tour dates. They should give people already on the waiting list priority in booking another tour.
 
On the waitlist. TWO emails saying my spot was open. BOTH times I clicked RIGHT AWAY and was told it was full.

I am raging. This is the most horrid thing I have dealt with in a long time. I have not heard back from any of my emails.

I was screaming at their webite.
 

There is something on the D23 webpage that does not recognize that my member name/password belongs to a D23 member. I found this out when I tried to enter the Roar into Las Vegas with the Lion King contest. So I was not expecting to even be able to try to book the Studio Tour because I was afraid you needed your member name, not just your D23 membership number. So even though I only got the WL, this was much better than I even expected.

Of course, after numerous e-mails from disneystore.com technical support (them: "we have changed your member name to your e-mail address to fix you problem;" me: "my old name is recognized and my e-mail address is not, so the problem is just the same;" them: "now, we have successfully changed your member name to your e-mail address to fix you problem;" me: "still no change and still the same problem"), I still cannot enter the Lion King contest and the deadline is tonight.

I know that many will enter and I won't win, but still I wanted to at least enter! On the bright side, the winner had to go to Vegas between now and end of Summer and the heat would have been unbearable.
