Why not? You don’t want to show off new projects for your major new streaming service?

You're not understanding what I'm saying. Sure, go ahead and make a cool documentary for exclusive streaming. That's great. I will definitely watch it. This could have easily been part of the Disney+ panel, where they could have mentioned it and created some hype.

But to devote an entire hour long presentation AND make a special media announcement 2 days early just seems like immense overkill for something so underwhelming.

I don’t disagree but I’m not surprised in anyway. Disney+ is what the Disney company is riding its future on. All the marbles are on Disney+ so expect a lot about it this week.

I think One Day at Disney looks great, love the concept.

As a marketing/PR professional, I don’t have any idea why they listed it as a secret project on the schedule with an announcement date 2 days before the panel. Disney definitely laid the groundwork for the fan base to build it up and be let down and I have no idea why they would do that. They could have generated excitement about this project in so many other effective ways.

I don’t know what I expected. I definitely didn’t think it would be another gate or anything like that, but I certainly thought it’d be bigger than this.

Disney is the MASTER of not living up to it's own hype. Geez...how do they keep messing up like this time and again.
We have only ourselves to blame. They release a new popcorn bucket and people plan trips just to get it. New cupcake, lines are out the door. People over hype and salivate over everything Disney does, just waiting for the next thing to feed their Disney obsession.

Also a career marketer and naming it a secret was a smart move to ensure all eyes would be on Disney+ which is their new baby. Us die hards know better but they wanted to drum up hype and it worked.

I believe it is the secret project. I don't believe it the biggest announcement of D23. I think this may be a case of misdirection.
Depends on what you would consider the biggest announcement. Some might consider what comes out of parks as that, some the Disney+ panel, some the studios panel.
