D23 Expo 2015 - Who's in? Roll call!

So you do you think they will not allow pictures at the OUAT panel?

I can't imagine they would ban photos/videos for this panel. It doesn't mention so on the schedule. The reason they usually don't allow photo/video for presentations, is because they will be showcasing previews and screenings they don't want the rest of the public to see before the movie is released.

I forgot about that, because I didn't go to any arena presentations last time. The first year I went they took my license to put it in the bag with my stuff. My camera, my phone, and my ID? Scary. lol

Yikes, I know why they would do that, but....yeah, stressful! Hee.

I live about 50 minutes from Anaheim. I didn't want to book a hotel because I thought I was going to drive home each night. And then the overnight queing got announced, and I've been unsure of what to do ever since. Now I'm planning on doing overnight on Friday for Saturday morning, but I won't know what to do with my car.

Anyone else who will be there overnight or super early in the morning trying to figure out parking?

REALLY good point that I hadn't thought of. We are relatively local too and had not considered parking. The D23 site does say no convention center overnight parking, so I guess whereever we can find? HA.

I believe someone said either the Toy Story lot OR the ACC lot would open at 4:30am, but I can't remember which. You might want to call the ACC to see what they say.

We are here! Taking a break before our F! BB dinner! Crazy crowds, but having a blast!

jealous! We won't be there until super late Friday/early Saturday :(

I don't drink coffee or energy drinks, but I may need something to make it through all the fun at the expo to my own bday dinner Saturday night lol

No overnight parking? But they have overnight lines? What do they expect people to do? This is crazy. I guess we may Uber from our hotel when we get there very early Saturday morning.

I plan on walking over, I believe I'm about 1/2 a block away from what I noted during my last trip a couple weeks ago, although I'm not actually sure where the line would be, so I may be a bit further than I anticipate

Hi D23 Board!

I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has an extra ticket for Saturday, please message me. I'll gladly buy!

Thanks!

Pretty sure that two years ago the hotel at the CC allowed overnight parking in their garage, for a small fee.

Anyone want to wager a guess when the last person in will arrive to see Papa George? When he was at Celebration, I think you only needed to be there by like 4 to make it, but that was a smaller venue, and didn't have the Disney effect. HOwever, it really seems like the Legens will be the George show with Elfman opening. Surely they will give the time accordingly.

Wish I was going again this time, but it ain't happenin. But, I have my photo in front of the Orange Harvest display. Which is perhaps all that will be announced this time too.

Tickets are none transferable, therefore buying one second hand wouldn't be possible. Especially because they have your name printed on them.

I'm not really interested in the Legends ceremony other than Danny Elfman and George Lucas, so I think I will pass. Am I missing something? It would be cool to be at the open of the show, but not enough to line up that early. I don't know.

Our CM tickets didn't print our name on the tickets so I guess not all levels have names maybe?

So question on Saturday I'm meeting up with a friend who has gold membership and I heard previous years sometimes they allow a gold member to bring in one guest in the gold member line. Is that true? I mean would be cool but if not I can tell my friend I can eventually catch up with her and she can get in line for something first.

Quick question I just thought about. With regards to the Twilight tickets, the ones that they sell at the Expo, are they the same price as the ones we can purchase ahead of time from that website they send us?

Two practical questions

In the past have they kept the Convention hall super cold?

What kind of food is available?

Well I found the answer tp my second question, the app is far more detailed than i expected.

Super cold is relative, but I've found the convention center to be chilly, especially when forced to be inactive for hours while waiting in line. Bring a light jacket or hoodie and you'll be fine.

Thank you so much BeccaG for asking about that and theluckyrabbit for answering! I might not have thought about bringing a sweater since I rarely need one with California summer weather. Now I definitely will :) Crankiness avoided.

I'm hoping getting there at 7/7:30 on Sunday will be sufficient to get into the 11 Disney Interactive presentation... Since there's no overnight queing, Sunday should be more predictable, right?

Also, is anyone going to try the Toy Story lot?

Just bumping this up, as it's sort of time sensitive lol
