This really stinks. Do they not get people have learned to like Spectromagic? and have memories from that parade too?

When I was on the Keys to the Kingdom tour two weeks ago they took us in the the area where all the MSEP floats are stored. In the same building are all the Spectromagic floats but they were all under tarps. The tour guide said they are doing "much needed" work on each of the floats and it could take awhile.

I had just heard thru end of December didn't know it had been extended further. Bummer, MSEP was nice and everyone should get a chance to see it once, but I liked Spectro alot better.

No one has offically stated that MSEP is hanging around for a few years. The fact is no one knows when Spectro is coming back.

I read about it on the Al Lutz blog (MiceAge.com) - he's one of those people who is not affiliated with Disney, but seems to be in the know about DLR.
