D-Day Invasion- "Strange"-ly Imminent!! TRIP REPORT IS UP!!

Liesa, only have a few seconds to comment. Congrats to Andrew and hope his PT test goes well. Know exactly what you're going through. Luckily, Matthew got through his early which will make his Senior year that much better. 5 years for engineering? For Matthew and a 4-class system, you graduate in 4 years regardless of major, so he has been cramming Engineering classes every semester.

Glad you kept your head through your lake trip! Would hate to know otherwise, even after my warnings!:thumbsup2

Have fun in DC! Wish I could be there so Glenn and I could double team you. That new red hair would probably provide us some really good material! :rotfl2:

Congratulations to Andrew! That's great news. What's this about red hair? I must have missed that post.

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Andrew. Hope everything works out perfectly!

Late breaking-- super mondo, MOST excellent, REALLY GREAT NEWS!!!

ANDREW IS QUALIFIED by the DODMERB (Dept. of Defense Med. Examiners Reivew Board) for the ROTC Program. Now all he has to do is pass his PT test and can start collecting his stipend and get "contracted"!!!

WOOT!!!

Double WOOT!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

So happy....

I am speechless. :scared1:

Okay, so many responses come to mind.......

Jealousy will get you nowhere! :lmao:

After reading so many posts and having so many interactions with Liesa, some of us feel like we know her so well we are more comfortable in welcoming her back to the USA than others.... :rolleyes1

Uh, okay, now I'm on the long list of posting something without reading it again to see if others can take it the wrong way...... :confused3
You would think I would know better..... :sad2:

We just got back from the houseboat, and picked up the mail....

WOOT!!!

If you'll recall earlier, we were a bit worried about this because of his past history of childhood asthma. Apparently, being overseas and not really ever seeing a doctor, was ON HIS SIDE!!! His test is IN THE MORNING- if he passes a 2 mile run in 15 minutes, many push-ups, and many more sit ups, then it's in the bag. 6:20 AM is the test!

AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2

A few lessons from the lake:

1) Tubing is the best way to give one a wedgie.

2) There is no such thing as "enough" soda/pop/coke for 9 kids and 9 adults. We had 3 coolers- gone.

3) Some kids are built to ski, some are not. Likewise for adults.

4) You can't put sunscreen on enough times to really make a difference.

5) I could get very used to living the high life of having an 83' houseboat.

6) 17 people on one boat for 4 days is way FUN, but way, way exhausting.

:rotfl2:

Glad you had a good time, hon. :goodvibes

So could I! Looking forward to hearing all about it!

We are thrilled- I cannot deny that a small, well, okay, rather large, happy dance (squeal included) was done at the post office.

That is really scary!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Now, Maroo...that's not very nice. :sad2: :lmao:

I'm sure that you will see at least some photos of the Meet on everyone who has a thread going's PTRs or TRs. But, you'll have to wait for my take on it until I get back. I have about a dozen installments already stored up and ready (well, not technically ready, but in my mind) for stuff I've done already BEFORE I even get to Disney!!!! You all told me "door to door"- so that's what it'll be! ;)

Our travel, Germany, houseboat, DC, etc....

:guilty: When your right your right.

By the way, I had my first beer in over 20 years on the boat. Beer is just as bad as I remembered it. Which wasn't a lot since I always drank it after about 4 screwdrivers- no one remembers much after that. I'm sticking with wine. Tastes better.

Amen sista! Wine always tastes better than beer. But I do have to admit a good cold beer (preferably a Shiner Bach) that's been sittin in the back of the fridge (where it's nice and really cold) hits the spot on a hot summer day once in a blue moon.
You and Tammie and I will have to share a bottle at Peeps Fest! :goodvibes

SO you drink beer after 4 screwdrivers? You should just go straight to drinking the vodka right out of the bottle! :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Morning Liesaa ( and it actually is) I have decided to dye my hair Gray!!!! :rotfl2: Get some wrinkles BOTuxed in!!!!:rotfl2: so you will all be fooled into thinking I am really old !!!:rotfl2:And if ya 'all believe that I have some Oceon front property in Arizonza !!!:rotfl2:

Tracey did not need to vacuum her car for me , remember I have 3 grandkids that can demolish a detailed car in minutes :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Liessa Awesome news for your son!!!!

Rosie, your too much!

How about Lime Green !!!!:lmao:

Oooo! Even better! :thumbsup2

Hi Guys...

I only have a few precious seconds to post- (the lonely DH calls), but suffice it to say, I simply LOVE my hair!!!! LOVE IT, I tell you!!

Today, was the day for running errands, getting my son to the dentist- who has a cyst!, and going through the things that were left to me by my grandparents. Also, I have some really cool beans news, involving a pop up trailer. But that's getting ahead of myself, to quote my dear friend GB.

Tomorrow, we are headed to Nashville for the BBQfest, and then out for our free dinner that we won for registering early for that 5K. I am praying that in all this hubbub, I don't forget to pack everything, Mickey Mail and all that.

Lovely that you all are having so much fun here!! But gosh darnit, I miss being part of the chatter!
