Cyrano - the adventure begins

hope that you and your family have a magical time! :thumbsup2

You lucky devils !!

It may be baking hot here in the UK but the majority of people are back at work tomorrow :sad1:

Have a magical holiday :wizard:

Really enjoying your report Reid.

Great news that we only have to fill in the customs form now, not the horrible green scary one! :goodvibes

Have a great day!

:)
GREAT NEWS - with online ESTA you only have to fill out the customs declaration.

No more Visa Waver form to be filled out :woohoo:

Fantastic :thumbsup2 We head out your way on Tuesday and it will be nice not to have to fill in the green forms. DS girlfriend will join us in the middle of July for her 1st visit so that's one less thing to bother about for her too.

Looking forward to the weather - Glasgow schools finished on Friday and so we're now missing out on the sunshine the rest of the country's enjoying. :sad1: Keeping busy dashing in and out of the house trying to dry washing between the heavy showers though :lmao:

Mrs TT :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Really enjoying your updates Reid its making me even more excited for our trip :)

Will be waiting further reports with baited breath! Glad you're having a great time :thumbsup2

We were up early again today, but hopefully the body clocks will adjust later... otherwise fireworks and importantly Illuminations will be a problem ;)

For those interested breakfast turned out to be French toast, sausages and scrambled eggs.

We hit Animal Kingdom at 8.15am and were through the gate at 8.45 ready for Mickey's welcome parade :)

As planned I hot footed it to Everest to pick up 3 fast passes and then met the family in Africa. I think most others were heading for Everest too

Kilamanjaro Safari was enjoyable as always. Though I wish it was not quite as bumpy so that you had a better chance to video and take photographs.
As the Everest window was open I collected 5 fast passes for the Safari ride again :)

Morgan, Jack and I then attempted to evade the Yeti.

We then headed to Dinoland though there are elements that I just do not get.
I took the two thrill seekers on Primeval Whirl. Then DD Robyn on the Dumbo type ride while DW went on Dinosaur with the others.

After our 2nd safari ride we lunched in a favourite - Tamu Tamu. Foccatia bread with turkey and cheese, Pita with Tuna mayonnaise :)

To allow dinner to settle we headed to Rafiki's Planet Watch. We spent a reasonable time there and afterwards headed out of the park.

Disaster struck in that the leg of my glasses came off. So we headed to the mall to get a replacement screw.
This allowed DW to spent a good amount in the Yankee Store :scared1: and the troops in the Disney Store :scared1::scared1:

We headed to the supermarket and grabbed a rottisere chicken and various items for supper.

Later we headed to Disney Quest. If I am honest I was not looking forward to this. I don't think I would have paided extra but the troops had a nice time going on the various games and simulators :)

I was the last man standing (hence the report) while everyone else was in bed for 9 :)

Sounds like you are having a great time - I love live updates - thank you. Have a great day today:goodvibes

Great report. We only have 27 days before we will join you. This is getting me even more excited .I also love live updates !!

Sounds like a great time so far - although that tiny screw for your glasses turned out to be very expensive for its size :rotfl2:

Keep the updates coming :thumbsup2

Just catching up. Sounds warm out there, hope it carries on into August for us.
I wonder if ESTA is now fully functional on all routes/airports?

1st couple of times we did DQ it was included in our ticket and we decided it was worth paying for a 3rd visit. Unfortunately you can't know the crowd level until you are in, we only stayed a few hours and left it was far too busy, its only worth doing if quiet for us so I would not pay seperate for it again.

DH and his friend too our kids into DQ on our last trip, and me and my friend went off shopping, they enjoyed it but there wasn't that much that the little ones could do. We only went because it was included in our tickets, otherwise I doubt that we would have gone there either.

We sell a card in our shop that come with a litle glasses repair kit inside of it, a tiny screw driver and some spare screws - worth having with you! :rotfl:

Sounds like you are having a great time.

A few years ago my glasses lg came off in AK too, but a cm working at a ride radioed to the guest services at the front of the park and they actually keep spares there, so we got sorted out in no time and saved a trip to a mall which my DH was very glad about :rotfl2:

Glad you're having a great time. :goodvibes

Robert Dyas (don't know if you have them in Scotland) sell a glasses repair kit like Gemma described for 99p but I bet your family was glad you didn't have one with you as it meant they could hit the shops!

Sounds like you are all having a great time, looking forward to reading more. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the suggestions about glasses repair kits ;) If you see my other post you will know that I am going to be stung for more than $5 :headache:

Can't believe that I have been so careless.

A long lie today ... 6.30am Anyway breakfast was waffles and grits. I decided to have cereal and toast instead.

Today was the first trip to a water park and our first ever visit to Blizzard Beach. Whilst it is not as nicely themed as TL IMHO it was a big hit with the troops. DD Robyn who will not go on POTC because of the drops was a veteran on Teamboat Springs :confused3

The rest of the time the troops played at Ski Patrol Training Camp.

I think while we were enjoying Cross Country Creek Robyn had a beastie land on her arm. Before anyone could get to her it decided to try a taste of her. So we headed to the First Aid station where as expected the Cast Members were excellent :)

As we were at this side of the park we lunched at Lottawatta Lodge. The sandwiches and wraps were nice, but the service was painfully slow

Back at the hotel I discovered that my glasses were no more. So retracing our steps took up some time.

Supper tonights was Logan's Roadhouse. DS was looking forward to his steak and A1 sauce :goodvibes We had the Enormous Nachos which was in hindsight too much along with the bread and steaks. No one had any puddings. But we left very happy and very full. Total bill $37.84 before tip.

DW and eldest DD decided some retail therapy would help walk off some calories. So a trip to Prime Outlets fitted the bill. I think my wallet faired not to badly, but I fear it will take a pounding on the 4th July sales :thumbsup2

We were back in the hotel before 9 :)

Sounds like you are having a great time. I'm really enjoying the live reports! :)
