Do I want cypress pointe or cypress pointe grand villas? Going in January with teenagers. Any Differences??
:santa:

Depends on what you feel will make your visits more enjoyable.

Grande Villas offers elevators and a larger 2nd bedroom. The units are not as new (never renovated) and the in room features are not as new or plentiful. By locating there you'll be close to the mini-golf and two pools. See a full comparison here.

On the Cypress Pointe Resort side you'll have better access to the Clubhouse, the signature Volcano pool, the exercise room, game room and gazebo by the ponds. In the units you'll find much newer furnishings, entertainment equipment, appliances and a "fresher" look due to the recent unit renovation work. The single biggest differences are the lack of elevators (the buildings are all 3 stories and have only stairs) and the smaller 2nd bedroom with a twin and a trundle bed (can be used a second twin or placed together to form another king sized bed). CPR also has the "open" bath areas in the master bedrooms - there are no doors only angled walls to separate the bath from the main room. The third bath is a traditional style. Some people don't mind that while others hate it. At CPGV only the lock off 1 bedroom has the "open" bath room design. The 2 bedroom has a more traditional 2 bath set up with doors.

Both are nice but we have found we prefer the original CPR.

Thanks for such a detailed complete answer!! I am going through hotel kingdom(best prices i have found)- Cypress Pointe has a studio only.I didn't see it only was a studio before- their website is horrible. That might be too small. I guess it is the grand villas for us. Thanks again!

The studio is definately to small with other than a couple. It is basicly a hotel room. I prefer the Grand Villas and you can use both facilities by walking accross very quiet road.

I would be tempted to try CPR because we rented a two bedroom at the Grand Villas in late October. You could definitely tell the unit was in need of repair. Tiles and wallpaper coming off walls in bathrooms and the carpeting was filthy. DVD was broken and after three attempts maintainence said they did not know how to fix it. It was a shame because we loved the location. Pool was nice, but overall we wouldn't return.

We've stayed in the 1 br at Grand Villas twice -- fine for a couple, but when we traveled with our sons, the 2 br at Cypress Pointe was really nice. Watched Lord of the Rings in surround sound!
