Cypress Pointe through hotelkingdom.com - too good?

I've been searching for an inexpensive place to stay for just one night before our 1 day visit to Magic Kingdom (I know - just one day????).
I have found a FABULOUS rate on hotelkingdom.com for a 2 BR villa at just $105 (+tax) for the night. This is at least $60, and as much as $100, less than a search for the same property on other places like travelocity or orbitz.

That makes me a bit nervous that it's too good to be true! From scanning the boards here, many of you are happy with hotelkingdom.com. Can I book with confidence that I won't be hit with any hidden fees? In fact the site specifically says that no cleaning charge will apply which I feared might be the case with such a short stay at a condo.

And any feedback on Cypress Pointe is welcome too! Many thanks. These boards are just the best!

You can book with confidence. I used Hotelkingdom and was very happy with the service and my stay at Cypress Pointe. I personally haven't read a neg post about HK. Have fun.

We are huge Cypress Pointe fans  Do a search and you will find many threads on this resort. Lovely spacious accomodations with every conceivable amenity you could find in a condo. Great pools and 3 minutes form Downtown Disney.

We've booked several times through Hotelkingdom with no problems at all. Two years ago, I booked the 3 bedroom condo was $89!! Man, talk about your good deals! :yay:

lots of people here have used hotelkingdom - don't worry - they are for real!

remember though the resort won't receive the reservation until 3 or 2 days before. (might be a week?)

I haved stayed at Cypress point several times and booked using Hotel Kingdom each time. Couldn't find anyone to beat the price. No problems at all. GO you'll love it.

We've book Cypress Pointe and Cypress Pointe Grand Villas thru Hotel Kingdom 3 times and have never been disappointed. Enjoy your stay!

Last spring I booked thru hotelkingdom for our stay at cypress pointe. i was making reservations for 2 ..3 bedroom condos for two different lengths of time for the same week. one for 6 nights one for 7 nights. 3 weeks before our trip I called Cypress pointe to request a ground floor unit they had my reservation as being a 3 bedroom unit and a 2 bedroom unit. I called hotelkingdom right away. they put me into a 3 way call to cypress pointe and the problem was corrected immediately.

Cypress pointe is a great place to stay. Loved it sooo much can't wait to go back.

If the resort does not receive the ressie until 3-4 days before, how is your room reserved? I guess I'm confused.

Saw a 2br at $93 today for July. Wondered the same thing as the OP.

it is reserved - this resort is a timeshare - RCI doesn't send the stuff out until 7 days before you arrive.

I though someone here say that hotelkingdom worked the same way - but if she was able to call 3 weeks before her arrival - I guess they and I were mistaken.... :)

have you seem this site

Hotel kingdom is great and their customer service is excellent--though as I recall they are not open on weekends. The only glitch we have had is one time arriving into Orlando at about 2 a.m. on a 7 hour delayed flight, the very new hotel we were booked at didn't have any rooms left. Add to that the fact that we couldn't find them and it did make for a rough nigth. We ended up staying somewhere else and called hotel kingdom the next day and they refunded all of our deposit and made sure the hotel did not charge us for the room at all.

Every other time we have used them it has been flawless.

ALWAYS call when you are arriving late. otherwise the resort assumes you are 'no show' and can rerent your room.

Late is definited by THEM. So anytime I plan on arriving after 7pm I call them that morning or the day before.

Another happy hotelkingdom customer here. We booked at Cypress Pointe twice, once in a 2 bedroom, and another time in a 1 bedroom.

I just booked a 1-bedroom CPGV room on Hotel Kingdom. I've used them before. That resort has instant confirmations, so I believe the hotel will have your booking within minutes of your making it.

Just be aware of what's included and not included in the rate. e.g. you won't get housekeeping unless you pay extra for it. That doesn't matter to me (I don't need housekeeping very much in a 5 night stay when it's just me, no kids), but it might matter to others!

I've booked through them 2 times for Cypress Pointe and no problems. They are the best deal around : )

for Nov 2006 great rate thanks. :cheer2:

My question is what is the difference between Cypress Pointe Grand Villas & Cypress Pointe?

Would it be resonably feasible to stay at Cypress Pointe and visit theme parks or other locations in WDW four or five times in a week stay without having a car? We don't want to rent a car nor pay the cab fare each time.
From what I can tell Cypress is about a mile from DTD, where we could catch a bus to anywhere in WDW but am not sure about the walk to DTD. It is just the wife and I and we like to walk but am not sure about walking back to Cypress at 11pm.

I'm not 100% sure exactly where cypress pointe is, but I know the general area because we stayed at the Sheraton Safari last year. But I would not recommend walking. I think it is pretty far and is on a very busy road. I do not recall there being sidewalks and such on the busy road.

O.k. I'm new at all this. Since this is a timeshare, exactly how does that work when you book through Hotel Kingdom. Do you have to sit through a presentation, and if not, do they bug you all the time????
