Hi After much trawling of the internet we have narrowed it down, but now are doublting our choice we normally stay at Vistana (either one) but have found Cypress point to be a lot cheper. So my question is if we go for Cypress pointe will we be disappointed. thanks for any input.

Cypress point is not VIstana.

For what Cypress Point is - it is very nice.

but it is not the 4 star resort that Vistana is nor does it try to be.

All the Cypress Pointe units that you can rent have been remodeled so if you like to have new carpet, new frig, new mattresses, etc...... I would save the money and go with CP. I'm looking forward to a stay at Vistana but I might be an older unit and I'm paying a lot more. I'm sure there are more amenities at Vistana but CP is hard to beat.

defintley go with cp. look on hotelkingdom.com. they always have the best price. not as nice as vistana, but not a bad room. ive stayed at both places. and would choose cp for the price alone.

How much time do you plan to spend at the resort? If you'll be there quite a bit, I would recommend the Vistana. Lots of options at the resort for swimming and activities.

When are you going??

We love Vistana but we are booked at CPGV for December. My friends stayed there and loved CPGV. They would go back in a heartbeat.

I think what Pat said is right on. It's not as big as Vistana, and doesn't have all the activities maybe, but it is a nice resort. The rooms would probably be about the same. Both have great locations, very close to one another.

Same price? Vistana hands down. CP is nice and I would sure stay there again for the price. Will you be disappointed? It depends. If you go in expecting it to be Vistana you probably will. If you go in figuring this is a nice resort that we got for a great rate, then no, I wouldn't think you would be.

We were very happy with our stay at CP and had no complaints that I can remember, BUT we ended up booking one night at Vistana before we left because we did miss it a lot!

Thanks all for your advice I think we'll go Cypress pointe we only really use the pool at the resort as long as the rooms are nice I'm happy. Now just need to get DH to commit to going.

i think they are both quite close. Although one thing that really appeals to me is that CP has restaurants within walking distance. Which Vistana on IDrive didn't have last time we stayed there.

Tell me how far it is from disney and is it walking distance to resturants? What is there web site . And what is hotel kingdom? do you have to pay up front with hotel kingdom? :bounce:

Here are the websites for CP and HK:

We have ressies for CP through HK for April. Yes you have to pay in advance...we weren't wild about that, but I guess it's the price you pay for a great rate there. We're in a 3 bdrm. for $100 plus change per night...this during peak season onsite, when a tiny WDW value resort room goes for more than this. Check out some of the CP threads on this board and you'll find some great pictures posted of the units. :)

edited to add: I think you can walk to a few restaurants in the CP area. We aren't really planning to, so I haven't researched it thoroughly though.
