Cypress Pointe GV vs. Cypress Pointe Resort vs. Windsor Palms

We are hoping to be coming down during the first week in February with me, dh, ds #1 and #2, dm and dmil so we'll need a 3 brdm place if we're all to stay together.

Hotelkingdom.com finally has rates for both CP and CPGV. For our week, the difference is about $300/wk (CPGV being higher) and I contacted an owner from Windsor Palms about a 3bdrm + den in Windsor Palms and was quoted a slight bit higher than CPGV for the home, which includes a private pool.

Anyone have any thoughts on which way I should lean at this point? Of course, we still have a lot of time to decide, and need to be sure that dh will be able to get the time off, but I am trying to narrow down the choice of place so when we're ready I can book quickly.

Any help you can give would be great.

I am not a really frequent poster, as my office firewall prevents me from logging on during the day and I have 2 small children at home, plus I haven't stayed offsite in almost 12 years. But considering the volume of responses to so many posts, I would have thought that someone might have some opinions for me comparing these resorts.

I am trying to put together a vacation for my family of 4 (including 2 small children), my mother and MIL. I really had hoped for some help from this board, and have picked up some useful tips and websites to use when planning. But I really needed some information comparing these three resorts and no one has been able to provide any in a month.

Even if you've only been to one of these resorts, your opinion would be helpful.

WE plan to stay at Cypress Pointe in December, so I can't help. Why don't you try to use the search feature or set some time aside when the kids are napping to go back thru the archives here? Just a suggestion, since I can't give advice about the places.

Hi Janet: Sorry that no one helped you out but this is the first time I've seen your post. Hope I can give you some input into CP.

We've stayed at CP for the past 10 years as my family are owners there. We love this resort so much and always look forward to staying there. If you manage to get the search feature up you'll notice that I always add to CP postings and try to help anyone.

CP is very well laid out with 3 pools and 1 kiddie pool. There are also 2 hottubs,playgrounds and a really beautiful mini putt right on site. You're only about a 2 minute drive to WDW and you can also walk to a ton of nice restaurants with a Winn-Dixie and a great liquor store just around the corner.

with this last site make sure to click on "virtual tour" and you'll see all the rooms and gounds form CP.

I did a very detailed review of CP just the other night. There are sooo many posts about all these resorts that if you search or just go back in time, you'll find loads of info.

You can also look at www.tripadvisor.com - very easy to use and you'll find lots of reviews.

Finally, if renting from an owner is an option you want to pursue, try the TUG boards. Not sure of the URL, but google "timeshare owners boards" and you'll find it.
