I'm considering staying at this resort and would like to hear from anyone who has stayed in a one bedroom unit. I did a search and most of the info. was on the larger units. I don't need a lot of room, just like to know if it's as nice as the larger ones seem to be. It would be half the cost of my current ressie at ASMo.

Thanks,

Jennifer

The wife and I stayed there for a weekend and loved it. Full kitchen, nice sitting area and bedroom.

It felt a little cramped b/c we had 3 adults in there and were using the pull-out sofa. But if we hadn't been, it would have been fine for a couple. I wouldn't call it roomy, though it's better than an ordinary hotel room! However, the bathroom is great - large counter with 2 sinks, a shower and a roman bath/whirlpool thing. The toilet closes off with a solid door, so it can be used by one person while the shower/sinks are in use by the other. The only thing to watch out for is that there's a window opening between the tub and the bedroom - it has a curtain that can be pulled across if you want to. For a couple it's nice - one can be in the tub and chat to the other in the bedroom. But for 3 ladies who liked their privacy, it was a little weird to have to draw this curtain when someone was showering!

Thanks for the replies. It will be only me so space isn't a huge issue. I just want to make sure it's really clean.

Also, is there any request I should make about the room location? I like a quiet room.

Thanks,

Jennifer

I never noticed any cleanliness issues - but I'm not a good one to comment, because I tend not to notice dirt unless it's excessive!

If you go for a top floor room there will be no-one above you. Also, a corner room maybe? There isn't a huge pool full of screaming kids at the Grand Villas - just 2 smaller pool areas. I stayed there in March last year and it was quiet - our room overlooked the parking lot, and we couldn't hear anything. I don't know if the lock-off 2 bedroom unit joined to ours had anyone in it, but we never heard any noise from there.

What is the bed size in the master? King or queen? Thanks!

I think it's only a full, and that's why we wouldn't consider it. I think the regular Cypress Pointe (older section) has a King in the 1 bedroom, but not the sitting area and kitchen. I believe the newer Grand Villas has a full bed with a sitting area with sleeper sofa and kitchen. Someone please correct me if this is wrong - it's been a while since I researched it. :goodvibes

Either one would be absolutely fine with only 1 person.
