Hi there! Yes, I took my two boys (ages 6 and 8) there earlier this month and we had a wonderful half day; in fact, we never got out of the Midway/fairground part of the park, with around three dozen rides of various kinds that they were happy to explore all the time we were there. The gardens are pretty much as they used to be, but other parts of the park are still being worked on and it looks a bit makeshift at times. There is obviously a lot more to come but, provided you enjoy all the rides (four decent coasters - nothing frightening! - a big water raft ride, various kinds of spinning, twirling rides, a high-shot tower, two water flumes, bumper cars, and a host of smaller kiddie rides), there should be enough to make a good day of it. We didn't catch either of the shows, or spend much time in the gardens, and several things were either 'opening soon' or not functioning on what was a pretty quiet day but, if they follow through with all that is on the drawing board, this should make for a good family day out at any time of year.

My Stepson (Gus) was taken there by his uncle just before Xmas, they had a great time and all seemed quite taken with the park. If I get time I may take a trip down there soon as it's probably the closest park to my house :D although it is a bit cross country for me :O LOL

The park's doing well. It has drawn 200,000 in less than two months so it should quickly top the 600,000 guests it drew when it closed. It's definitely a great "change of pace" park as the lines are short, the rides are simple and it's more like a traditional park. If you're going in a few months you will have the waterpark open too.

eCypress.com has some pictures of the park and all of the rides on the site.

Oh, and it's $20 less than the Orlando parks too.
