Hi Paul and Shirley
We went to Cypress Gardens for the first time last March and I really enjoyed it - we had a lovely day. The gardens are truly stunning. If you like Country and Western Music (which I am not too keen on I have to admit!) - there is like a Bandstand in the centre of the shopping/restaurant area and they have entertainment there most days. DH and I had a great deal of fun just people watching! There were obviously some C&W Groupies there - but it really was great fun and very entertaining.
If your interested in the film Gone With The Wind - there is a fantastic tribute to the film in Magnolia Mansion with untold amounts of Trivia.

And you can book up and go for a meal up and down the river on this Riverboat.

I think the only downside of our day there was the thousands and thousands of tiny flies that were present, but that was due to the time of year I think and there was a drought on at the time.
I wouldnt hesitate in going next time we go to Florida. Check out the website - there is a discount voucher to save money on your entrance fee.

Hope this helps - if you want any more info, please feel free to ask, I can easily dig out the guide book
