CVS Weekly 4/26-5/2

I don't know... paper towels get me goin'.... :rotfl:

Right now the plan is to go the 12-17th. DH is on the fence... but we're booked... so well he goes or I still go with the kiddies and smiller. REMEMBER HER? She's SO MIA on this CVS thread. :scared1:

Clarabelle: If you have any tips please PM me about OKW. I requested close to the hospitality house since I know I'll need to get "beverages" with my refillable mug and the "other" kind often. Any other tips???!!!:rolleyes1

Maggie: Please forgive me for being such a space case with my little party! :guilty:See... you got the bounty too. paper towels are cool!:3dglasses

Paper Towels ARE cool! :thumbsup2

As far as OKW - get the kids free balloon animals at the front desk and be sure to eat at least once at Olivia's (their penne pasta dish is amazing!). We usually end up in the back of the resort on the golf course (fine with me!) but there is one building that the bus actually comes thru the actual guest parking lot way (try to avoid that one). You can always jump on any bus and get off at the last stop and walk to the HH from there if you end up further back in the resort. My kids LOVED the pool and slide at OKW at the main pool.

You will be amazed at how HUGE the rooms are at OKW compared to the other DVC resorts. The 1br at OKW is over 900 square feet. :thumbsup2

Tell smiller we miss her. You girls should join us on the DIS CVS Facebook group. :woohoo:

Is next week's thread up yet?

We were in that building at OKW where the bus comes through the parking lot! But we didn't mind - we were that much closer to the bus stop! So if that was the worst, I think you will enjoy OKW. We only had dessert at Olivia's, but the key lime pie was yummy! The pool was fun too!

We loved the OKW room. It was soooo huge. Especially the bathroom!!

I have to go scope out more 3M hooks today. I might even get another Bounty because they are so fun and cool. :yay: (and we go through them fast).

And if your DH won't go to OKW with you, I can take his place. Then I could just stay down there for when my family vacation starts on the 18th!! Although that would mean my DH and DD would have to pack their own stuff and who knows what kinds of clothes DH might bring down for himself!!!

I looked for some of my old posts, but can't find anything generic.

First, you need an Extra Care Card, which are free at CVS. Fill out the form and give your address and email address because eventually you will get coupons sent to you. Coupons from CVS can be used with manufacturer coupons on the same item(s).

What we do is buy the items that are advertised each week as "free" after Extra Bucks or work out to be free (or nearly free) after Extra Bucks and coupons.

It takes about $20 to get started and then you just buy the items advertised each week that work out to be free or nearly free.

You pay for new items with the Extra Bucks you earn, then pay about $1 for tax, etc. and then earn more to be used on your next shopping trip.

You need to start saving every coupon you can find and saving inserts from Sunday newspapers.

The easiest way to get started is to copy what others here are buying if you have the same coupons. If you need to look up where a coupon came from, this is a database: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon.php "SS" means Smart Source and "RP" or "V" means Red Plum (Sunday paper inserts).

There are limits each week as to how many of the sale item you can buy and earn Extra Bucks on. For example, if you had two $1 coupons for Crest toothpaste this week (which has a limit of 2), you could buy one at $1.99, use your coupon, pay 99 cents, and earn $1 Extra Buck. Then you could get another, use your coupon, use your $1 Extra Buck (it would be adjusted down to 99 cents) and pay nothing and earn $1 Extra Buck (for your next shopping trip). Your total cost for both would be 99 cents and you'd have $1 for next time.

Another example this week is a Garnier shampoo, conditioner or styling product. If you had a $1 coupon, you could buy one at $2.99, use your $1 coupon, pay $1.99 and earn a $2 Extra Buck to spend on your next shopping trip (or in the next transaction).

 Thank you SO much! It sounds super simple! I have a CVS right around the corner from me so I think I will start this weekend.

I stopped by another CVS this morning and found another metal 3M hook! Two down, 4 to go.

I also got another $2 off 2 Gold Emblem nuts but no Lumene CRT this time. I used the Gold Emblem nuts coupon on 2 bags of Caramel nut clusters (.99 each) and it went through no problem. There weren't any of the natural almonds I normally get for DH, but these looked good to me. They are peanuts covered with caramel then covered in chocolate! :cloud9:

YES! The bathroom is monstrously huge. What size room do you guys have hmillerbarilla? (Plenty of room for me and MaggieW to tag along right????)

The bus would fly through that parking lot. I couldn't believe how fast they were going thru a guest area where people were walking to/from their cars. If you get that building then just make sure all small children are holding hands with an adult when you cross the parking lot. It was close to the bus stop but we mainly drove to the parks and only jumped on the bus to get to the Hospitality House a couple of times.

Oh and there are also some buildings with no elevator so if that is a must then be sure to request either a first floor room or a room in a building with an elevator.

Rite Aid question....

I took my single check rebate to my bank to deposit this afternoon and the cashier wouldn't deposit it. She read back to me little writing on it that said. "Use your check toward any purchase at a Rite Aid location!"

I couldn't believe it. I've deposited them once before. And I went to Rite Aid's website and try to find something on there about what to do with your check once you receive it. Nothing. It doesn't say come back to the store and use it. or go to your bank. I mean it has a routing number and an account number. I think my teller was just dumb. Anyone else have this problem? I bet you can't take it to the store and use it like cash right? And I don't really want to. I want it like a rebate.

Any help? Thanks.

I think you just got a bad teller. I have done their program for almost a year now and have always deposited the checks at my bank. I would just take it back and try again....ask to speak to a supervisor if they still give you a problem.

Thanks puffkin. I tried to say something but we were at the drive thru and she just kind of bullied her way thru her explanation of how she was gonna send it back to me, OK??? I just wanted to make sure I wasn't in the wrong by trying to deposit it you know?

Thanks again!

are we really going to miss each other by ONE day????:headache:

Thank you for all the tips! We have just a studio right now--I thought it was just going to be me & smiller with the kiddies. Now that DH might come, I don't know if we'll just all have a lot of togetherness or if we'll upgrade. Still, getting a one bedroom doesn't really give us much more BED space. I'll wait & see who is really going to come along!

You ladies are the best! :cloud9:

I just deposited 2 RA checks in my bank last week. Also RA will cash the checks for you in their store. At least that is how the one I used in MD did it. Did not matter if I was going to buy anything or not. If they tell you no ask for a manager if you still get no call corporate in front of them. They will stop you before the call goes through and cas the check for you.:rotfl2:

You would actually lose a bed - 2 Queens in a Studio (or is it 2 Fulls?) to 1 King in a 1br - BUT the floor space is monstrous so you could slap a few air mattresses down on the floor for everyone. Do you guys have an Owner's Locker? I don't know what we did before ours. We store SO much stuff in ours! I have my own CVS stash of meds, toiletries and snacks in FL.

Today was my first time really trying this and I don't have coupons other than what I can print online, but I still did great (especially since I LOVE those Commando Hooks)! Thanks so much for the info. Now some questions:

I got the GE nuts coupon ($2 off 2). Can I use those on the bags of trail mix and/or the snack size bags (which I think are only 79 cents)?

I see that the May "monthly" is going to be posted soon. What is the monthly?

I've used them a few times this week on 2 packs of the .99 cashews and .99 almonds. Other have reported using them on the small bags of GE chocolate covered peanuts as well. I don't know about the trail mix, so I can't answer that one.

I printed a bunch of commano hook c/os but have not had a chanceto get to a cvs since !!!! Maybe if I gt up early and go before work at noon I will score !! I like the next weeks deals .Am off to search thru my c'os !!

I have used them on both the choc covered peanuts and the trail mix. :thumbsup2

I think it is 2 queens. I figured DH & I could sleep with DS (or put him on the floor... but he's really still so little) and Auntie (smiller) could sleep with DD. Luckily, my DH is super cool with hanging around with smiller. they get along nicely. THANK GOODNESS!

I don't need the kitchen for 5 nights. The only kitchen activity I plan on is opening my bottle of chardonnay.;)

I know nothing about the owner's lockers. how much is it??? :teacher:I think the other CVS people might think I'm weird talking about NON-CVS stuff. You all already know I'm weird. :rolleyes1 THANK YOU FOR ALL THE ADVICE!!!!!!!

Ok Guys... I just posted the May Monthly...
Take a deep breath before you look:scared1:

:rotfl::lmao: is it that bad? I'm afraid to look now.:3dglasses

Maggiew: are you not arriving until saturday the 18th???? I can't stand it! Should we change our plans??? This is just horrible! We can meet in the lobby where you're staying and take photos if you want. Maybe smiller & I will just take Lobby photos wherever we are staying. WE HAVE TO MEET!:upsidedow

Got a good run in last night...

i had about 3 of the $2 off 2 bags of cvs nuts so i got

7 bags of assorted cvs nuts, choc. covered mostly (used (3) /2.00 crts
1 lumene for 2.99 (used the 5.00 crt)
water 2.99
1.99 zooth toothbrush - used a b1g1
also used a 2/10 cvs purchase..

the girl made a mistake when she did the b1g1 i told her its 1.99 to deduct but she said no its 3.29 so i didn't say anything..

but anyway for all the above it came out to 1.50 so i had to pay Cash since i didn't have anything smaller than a 2.00ecb but i got back a 2.00 ecb so they paid me .50 for all the above.

i also have a 5.00crt for LUmene Premium - has anyone gotten this and tried it on the regular 2.99 lumene? curious if it works...

thanx

lisa

I think the premium CRT works for the cream, haven't heard on the wipes. Mine was $3 instead of $5... they've figured me out, lol.

I have th 3m hook coupons printed and I'm heading out to look for them today
