Cvs weekly 2/7-2/13

That's cute. Its nice to see a guy CVSer (or Extra Buck a holic, as he says). :lmao: Instead of gulping down the cheerios, I would be brushing my teeth up a storm with toothpaste!

Wow... I am a newbie at this, but amazed at how much stuff I am getting each week. Thank you again to flaky and everyone else who posts the scenarios. They have really helped me get the hang of this!

Went to a new store this week. Very friendly manager and cashier. I got...

4 Nivea Lipcare
Used 2 BOGOs and only paid 5.98 for the other 2, plus got $5 ecb.

Gillette... bought the fusion razor for $8.99 - $4 coupon, got $4 ecb.
Bought cartridges for the razor - $3 coupon got free shaving cream with coupon in this week's paper, plus another $1 off the free shaving cream. Never knew you could do that until I started here!!!!

Bought the Listerine with the $1 coupon and got $2 ecbs.

Did the excedrin deal, paid $16, had $4 in coupons and got $7 ecbs.

So..... spent $26 and change, used last previous ecbs to cover all but $3 of it ... walked away with all my stuff along with $18 ecbs to use next time.

Thanks again :)

That video was so cute! Thanks for sharing it and thank you flaky for next week too!

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I put my green leaf on my purse strap. They've pressed total before scanning it several times though so I know I missed a few extra bucks. I really like the reusable bags from Bath and Body Works for CVS because they fold up tiny to keep in my purse, I got them for 50 cents on the semi-annual sale, but they're only $2 regular price.

I did 3 transactions today for Nabisco, Fusion, Reach, Dawn Hand Renewal and Nivea. The $5/20 was still scanning without beeps. Also found 5 Colgate 360 Sonic Power toothbrushes for 75% off ($1.75) and used $1 mfgs. on them. I love those. Thermacare Arthritis knee 2-packs were also 75% off. Oh and Wisp 16-packs in Cinamon were 75% off and there are $1 mfgs. for them in today's Smart Source.

Good morning all. With all the snow yesterday I had both Rite Aid and CVS to myself which was kind of nice! This is what I did:

11.96 4 Nivea lip (love the Touch of Shimmer)
8.99 Fusion Razor
7.98 2 Reach Total Care Floss
6.00 Soy Joy (still have a couple left to get)
.33 Caramel (filler)
-5.98 2 of the Nive BOGO coupons
-4.00 Fusion q
-3.99 Reach BOGO coupon
-20.98 ECBs
.43 OOP including tax Got back $19 in ECB.

At Rite Aid I did the Dove Men's wash and the light bulbs. I am also quite ashamed to admit I somehow totally missed the P&G deal which ends this week so I am scambling to do that. I bought a bunch of stuff towards that (Perfect 10, Swiffers, Venus, Olay bodywash, Herbal Essence, etc). I am using the $5/$25 coupons from RedPlum.com so I am doing smaller transactions. Should hopefully finish that up in the next day or two. Cannot believe I missed that one as a lot of the stuff is things we will use. :sad2:

I might venture into walgreens . I want to grab another bottle of the dove for men.

I wasn't going to go to cvs this week but our inserts got the bogo nivea qs and I love the lip stuff so they are sucking me in again. We are supposed to go away this weekend and I hope I have time :rotfl:. I might grab a few bottles of dawn. I'm brand loyal and my stockpile is down to 4 bottles and I don't like that. I will probably grab the reach toothbrushes or floss too.

Good job. The best thing (outside of ECBs) is having a nice cashier:love:

I need HELP!
:rotfl2:No seriously...I need some help
My DD called from college. They are collecting medical supplies for Hati.
She is part of a group that does service work. They need these items by Thurs. That gives me a day...so I can mail them.
I do not have a stockpile of these items because we dont use them often so I need to find things very cheap or FREE...:worship:

They are looking for..tylenol, advil, cold meds, banaids, purell, neosporin...anything like this.:teacher:

I have many coupons from the past few months...
I have CVS...about 40 ECB.
WG...never done the RW but if you can come up with a deal..
There is alos a Riteaid here too.

Thanks everyone:grouphug:

I am not picky...if you can find anything I can get PLEASE just yell it out.:yay::teacher:

Oh boy, that is cutting it close. This is what I would do.. go to Walgreens and go to their endcaps of clearance and walk the aisles and look for orange tag clearance - if something is 75%+, write down the name and then go home and get all your coupons for those items - don't try to go with coupons and do a match-up, it's too frustrating. I would do the same at CVS and Target too. I just sent everything I had on hand for the same kind of deal, how weird is that.

Flaky- Rite Aid has the Vicks Cold/Flu and Comtrex I believe for pretty cheap after coupon/rebate. I also find great deals there just by wandereing the store and looking for the clearance tags. Hope this helps!

2.00/2 IP mfg. for Nabisco crackers from here (IE): http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vg&tqnm=zadmepd36007575&o=60755&c=NA&p=jiCq1gUJ or here (FF): http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vg&tqnm=zadmepd36007575&o=60755&c=NA&p=jiCq1gUJ

Everyone should consider printing these even if they aren't doing the deal this week because often those smaller packages are on sale for $1 each so they'd be free in the future.

Thanks Guys. Never thought of Target:confused3 We are getting a snowstorm on Wed. So I will be off tonight. End caps here I come. You know I was thinking...those little first aid kits might be good:lovestruc I still have a few of those. I can see if I can find some IPs and get those... Thanks for your help.

Do you have any of the $1/1 any jj first aid item coupons? Target sells trial packs of bandaids that would be free or you can get the free travel first aid kits.

Good luck! That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I stock pile that stuff when it's free or close to it so I don't know of recent deals or even good prices.

Thank you. I got 8 of them. Shaws had a blinkie machine. Only one comes out every 5 min:lovestruc the manager was pretending he wasnt watching me so that is all I could get:rotfl2:

flakypuff - I hope your able to find your 'stuff'. I was at cvs tonight and they had first aid kits 50% off. another thing to try, is perhaps visiting your doctors office. if you explain the situation they may be willing to offer up their stash of free samples for your cause. my brother is in med school and goes on trips in under developed areas and they depend on donations of materials for these trips and often hit up their local doctors offices. you may want to ask your dd to ask local pharmacies in her schools immediate area, as they may be more willing to donate knowing the school and their reputation for helping.

I also wanted to post that I attempted 'cvs-ing' today...i have wanted too for ages, but finally mustered up the courage to do so. there were plenty of items i needed to get anyway, so i figured what the heck...i have to start sometime! I was also spurred on because i got to prescriptions today and had two coupons for $25 gift cards...i simply couldnt resist...:goodvibes

I made some mistakes and see where i could have done better. but i am pretty happy with it being my first time doing it, with two kids in tow. the cashier was super nice, as he had to back track once i realized i needed to make two transactions in order to roll over my ecb's from transaction A to transaction B. :rolleyes1 thank you cvs cashier!

I came home with -
2 packs of jumbo pampers
2 clariol perfect 10 haircolor
2 adult ral b otoothbrushes
2 childrens (oral b & crest) toothbrushes
2 maybelline mascaras
1 maybelline powergloss
2 crest pro health toothpastes
2 crest flosses
1 orajel toddler toothpaste
1 childrens crest
1 clinical strength deoderant
1 scope mouthwash
2 nivea lip care
2 trident layers gum
1 8-pack aaa duracell batteries

I used:
$50 in prescription gift cards
$4 cvs total purchase coupon
$10.50 in ECB's
$31.99 in manufacturer coupons
$35.01 in sale prices/ad promos

...and walked out of cvs with 24 items (worth over $150) for a mere $22.54 out of my pocket! that beats the dollar store (a favorite of mine too!).

I know that most of you cvs veterans walk out spending nothing and i didnt walk away with any ebc's to use next time :confused3 ...but i was pretty happy with my savings...

thank you all your cvs-ers! :worship:

You did really good!!! And I personally feel more comfortable buying personal care items from CVS rather than dollar store because of all I read about problems with dollar store items. Although I buy other stuff from dollar store, like wrapping paper, daily shower spray, etc. (Not to start a dollar store bash, because I really haven't researched the safety claims. Its just a personal hesitation.)

Anyway, even veteran CVSers pay money sometimes. :scared1: Last week I not only paid money but used all my ECB! :scared1: I started to get low on ECB with the Pepsi deal. I did it 5 times and really depleted my ECB. Then, we were out of TP and paper towels, so I did the Battery deal and also bought a pack of Viva paper towels and had a big OOP (~30!!!). But there are some things that I will use my ECB on without rolling and also am willing to pay money on. Things like Pop and paper towels and toilet paper and laundry detergent are hard to get absolutely free (unless you use overage from some other deal). So I didn't mind paying OOP for those things!

I just don't want people to think that veteran CVSrs never pay OOP! Well, maybe some don't like LanaJae who has great stores who let her use expired $5/$20 coupons all the time. My stores act like I am a highway robber who is trying to steal their personal valuables!!!

I cut your post for length but you did great! I rarely spend cash at cvs but sometimes I do and it's ok if it's good stuff or stuff you need. I spent $15 in cash for the coke deal. That was a lot for me but soda deals are not cheap lately and I got a lot of pepsi free the week before that so it was something.

I won't blow cash to get ecbs for stuff I don't need or want but I will for stuff we need if it's a good enough deal. :) The goal is getting what you need or will use free or cheap, it doesn't always have to be free. Keep it up!

I went and did the free battery deal this morning. The bonus pack (8+2) did NOT come off free at the end. They just "returned" the batteries for me and gave me the cash (plus I got to keep the batteries). There was also a free screwdriver pack, but I don't know if that one worked or not.

My store didn't have any Valentine Borders for the free Valentine card. They called the Kodak hotline and they told them it would take a week for them to download that design. Haha. I bet they are going to have some angry people. I just did a mother's day card that looked Valentine-y and wrote Happy Valentine's Day as the text.

Maggie

I did the P&G Tide/Downy free battery deal figuring it was totally OOP but I was completely out of Downy and Bounce and had only half a bottle of Tide so I would have been OOP this week for it anyway and I would have spent that anyway if not more at Target. so I only did one receipt. Well, I had the same problem with the batteries last night and of course, because my receipt was so long the kid on the register couldn't figure it out. It was 11 PM and I had oldest DS with me (he doesn't have school because of the snow today) so I have to go back and get my $ back on the batteries. Add to the battery issue I had soo soo many coupons that I didn't realize my BOGO coupon for Herbal Essences didn't go thru until I got home last night and was reviewing my receipt :headache:. I'm not sure If I'll be able to get that part back. I may just return the second shampoo that I picked up just because I had the coupon.

OTH - I did okay with my ECB stuff - I did the Nivea, Ritz, Razor, Secret and Toothbrush deals - $43 of stuff (after sale prices) for $10 OOP with $17 in ECB back - the kid actually gave me $3.99 for my nivea lip balm BOGO coupon, as that was the maximum value of the coupon - he didn't even look at the price :rolleyes1 - which makes up slightly for the missed Herbal Essences coupon. I didn't have any coupons for the Secret besides buy old two old spice get secret free (yeah that coupon makes sense :confused3 ). Not my best week, but not bad overall, especially since our Cub Scout pack is having a "bring a bag of groceries for the food pantry" service project for the pack meeting this month so I need all the free stuff or really cheap stuff I can get.

Aren't we due for another email $5/xx coupon? :confused3 Seems like they're sent every other week or so. Sure could use one!!
