Cvs weekly 12/20-12/26

Possible hidden deal . . . or at least I didn't know about it.:)
There is a $1 ECB with the Simply Divine cookies. The coupon printer often gives $1 coupons, making the cookies 50 cents!

I had a good CVS run this a.m., but I apparently dropped one of my lipsticks out of the cart, couldn't find the wraps or the sleep aids and still have another Simply Divine coupon. Looks like there's more CVSing in my near future.

oh thanx for posting about the Divine cookies..i do have some crt's for them!

About the Simply Divine cookies. The shelf tag said $2.50, but it looks like I was charged $3.49. Since this was a money-making trip, I didn't notice until I cleaned out my bag.

Got the Thermacare deal had a $1 c/ooff 2count and they took it:banana:making it a money maker!!!
Also got 4 glade candles had coupons for 1.50 off 2 and they had coupons on them that they used also !!! I Love:love:my cvs gals !!!!!! Of coure I did the battery deal !!!! We use batteries like they are going out of style :lmao:

Got the Nivea, thermacare, listerine, crest, and the Alteril. Speaking of things you've discovered at CVS, I bought the Alteril last year on the Thanksgiving sale and it was really helpful for my mom - who would've thought? But, GRRRR, hate the Revlon coupons. Beeped on the ones on sale and the cashier wouldn't push them through. I was really looking forward to some last minute stocking stuffers. If you buy the Glade, don't forget to send in for the SC Johnson rebate. The checks come about 3 weeks later.

Have a great holiday week everyone!! Stay safe and warm, I keep seeing the images of the blizzard on TV and it's totally surreal! How do you do it?:santa:

I did the sleep stuff, Revlon, Listerine, Oral B floss, Nivea, Lysol wipes and Thermacare. I also got the free body lotion coupon in my email and picked up some candy stocking stuffers. Came out a few dollars ahead AND I was in and out fast....too much stuff to do right now. Probably could have worked out a few more deals, but I just don't have the time:eek:

All my ECB's are rolled until at least mid-January though so mission accomplished there!

I did get home and realized that my rx was not in the bag. I didn't unload my car until later last night after DS went to bed (because I had Christmas stuff too) so of course the store was closed. I was there at 11 am, so I was kind of ticked that they never bothered to call me that my prescription was left on the counter. I can't get it until tonight after work. It's a 28 day rx that has to start on a Sunday, so there better not be any "accidents" KWIM :lmao:

I am planning to go today.

I will get the American Express gift card deal to get $20 extra bucks. I can use them to pre-pay my groceries for January! So, FREE $20.

I haven't ever done the CVS thing so this is my inaugural visit! :rotfl:

I do also have a Nivea coupon for $1 off, so will use that and get the Nivea and the thermacare.

Question. If I do the American Express deal and get $20 in extra bucks, then if I want a $5 item I can't use it and keep the additional $15, right? I have to use all $20 at once?

Thanks!,

Dawn

PS: Crap. Won't work. Just found out each AE card is $4 to activate. It will cost MORE instead of less. This is why I haven't done CVS before. Seems like deals have a *catch* or are things I never use.

Whatever value is printed on the ECB has to be used in one transaction or you lose the rest. If you do the American Express deal, do it in 2 transactions so you will have 2 $10 ECB. If you buy them in one transaction, you will have 1 $20 ECB.

As far as the American Express deal, just beware that there is a transaction fee (I think $3.95, but check on that). So it will essentially cause you to break even with the ECB.

Most CVS deals don't have a catch. So don't give up!!

I don't find many catches in CVS deals either. The problem with the American Express cards is AE, not CVS. I bought AMC Theatre gift cards a few months ago and there was no catch whatsoever.

Dawn -- use the online Nivea coupon -- it's $2 and by using it CVS is paying you to take the bodywash away!

i bought the lysol spray and it does NOT say limit reached..anyone know the limit? i'd like to get more...

i had a good run..used a 5//30 from the medicaid survey!

I bought the lysol wipes and it doesn't say limit reached on those either. They were separate deals right?

One thing I do for the rebates, if I have several qualifying receipts, is to send them in with my mom's name, or my brother's to their addresses. He's a poor college student, and those little checks in the mail cheer him up. The SC Johnson one is particularly easy to do this with, since so much of it is stuff that we get free anyways.

I was able to make 8 goody bags for family and friends from my CVS stash - the big grocery reuseable bag size - thanks to all the ladies on this thread who post great deals. Everyone loves it (but not enough to learn to do it:rotfl:)! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

I got a $5 off $15 from the coupon scanner today!:)

Yes, they are separate deals..The limit is 2 - i went this morning and got another Lysol spray!
