Cvs weekly 10/25-10/31

I used all my ECB's last week with the Transformer DVD deal. My hubby wanted it for Christmas so I paid $3.xx out of pocket for all my items including the movie. I only have one $7 right now that I'm going to roll with the Fusion Razor and Toothpaste deal. I will spend $1.xx with tax. I find the deals are winding down. I hope they don't disappoint for Black Friday.

I have a question...I am new to the whole CVS ECB deal thing. Can you do the deals more than once in the week they are advertised? I did the deodorant one yesterday. I got 6 Dove deodorants for $12 after coupons plus I got $10 in ECB's. I then used those ECB's to buy 4 bags of candy, 6 cans of soup, a jar of salsa, and some alcohol wipes. I paid $2 OOP. So I got a lot for just $14. The soup though came out to be free after coupons. So I was wondering....can I go back and get more soup? What about the deals that give ECB's? Can I do that again too? Just wanting to know for the future.

Walgreen's deal: Softsoap Ensembles Handsoap, buy Reusable pump at $5.99 and disposable base at $3.99 get $4.00 in Register Rewards. Look for $2.00 off each coupons, on tearpad near the Wags cosmetics counter.

$5.99 + 3.99= $9.98 minus (2)$2.00 coupons= $5.98 and earn $4.00 RR, so net cost $1.98 for both

****Edited to add: In today's SmartSource there's a coupon for $3.00 off the replacement base. So with a $2 wags coupon and $3 SS coupon the net would be 98 cents for both.****

I've been Wags it now lately so when we were there yesterday I was hanging around the cosmetics counter looking for any coupons and the cashier asked if she could help me. When I told her what I was looking for (per this post) she pulled out a BOX of coupons. Scored 2 of these plus some Neutrogena coupons I jumped on when she was looking for these. Thanks for posting-who knew they hid the coupons-lol!

If there is a limit posted but it is not an ECB deal, then the limit is per transaction (like the soup this week). Some stores may be sticklers and hold you to the limit, but most do not.

ECB deals will have a limit printed in the flyer and on the shelf tag. Those hold true, the computer knows when you reached your limit and will not print any more ecb's. The information also prints on your receipt at the bottom. Sometimes they will increase the limit from what is advertised, but there is always some kind of limit.

Thank you! Now I need to figure how to get free or nearly free diapers with this. :rotfl:

Glad you found them. I wonder why they hide them :confused3, but that's probably better for you-at least there were some left! :thumbsup2

They rarely have diaper deals, but what I used to do when my DS was in diapers/pull ups was to try to buy diapers the weeks that I got a lot of overage from other deals. Then I would apply the overage to my diaper purchase to bring them down to a $1 or $2 a pack. Diapers are usually on sale every few weeks, so you just have to try and stock up the weeks they are onsale and you can get overage.

Rite Aid has a decent deal going this week. I think Huggies/Pull Ups are $8.99 and there is a $3 rebate. Then use a coupon on top of that. If you buy the other free after rebate/coupon items this week you can use a $5/$25 which basically makes the diapers free (you may need to throw in a small filler to hit $25). They also have a promotion going on of buy 5 packs get the 6th free, and this diaper would count towards that deal. The biggest problem is you can only do the deal once per Rebate account.

They hide them, and also take the inserts from the Sunday papers they sell and cut those up, it's to entice people to check out at the cosmetic counter at certain times because they get extra money on their checks based on the amount of transactions - if you can find someone trying to do that, you can do one transaction after another at Walgreens and roll RRs until you can't stand it - one time I made over $100 extra in RRs in about 20 minutes and spent under $10.

Another thing is if you buy the promo items at the front register, they will fall over backwards to do whatever you want - they get extra money for each item. When the Glade 2 oz. soy candles and the tins were a promo and also on sale and producing RRs, I found out they had pulled the $1.50 coupons from each and hid them in order to try to get people to buy them by offering coupons, so out came the coupons, and I walked out with 30 candles for the cost of tax.

Walgreens is tricky because many employees do the deals since they aren't tied to a card like CVS and the RRs are a big temptation to keep or say that you weren't supposed to earn because they can be spent by anyone. I know people who work at Walgreens just to get their hands on the stock. Its always safest to find a teenage cashier when checking out there - middle-age women are to be avoided at all times lol

Wow LanaJae, you're amazing!! :worship: As usual! Do you remember what products you got for $10 w/ a $100 value? I've learned so much from you!! :thumbsup2

From so many of you, thanks all!! :goodvibes

But now that i think of it, the gals at my Wags cosmetic counter also have coupons! I always thought they were just being nice! :) Actually, they really are nice.

So did anyone see the story this am on GMA? Wondered if she was one of us ?! She got about $200 worth of groceries for .01 (yup, one penny) and they also did a quick blurb in a CVS. It was really inspiring! :)

There was a glitch in Triaminic thin strips where it was giving a bonus RR - first there were Walgreens coupons from a pharmacy booklet that brought the cost down to near nothing and then double RRs on top of it, then something similar for Theraflu a week later, Walgreens and mfg. coupons brought cost to $0 and earned an $8 on every 3 bought (plus both were on sale for $4 each).

The cosmetic counter is the place to make cashier friends! lol

I didn't see the GMA segment, I am happy they are showing this stuff on TV and hopefully motivating people to use coupons with sales. It helps everyone and keeps costs down. Now if only CVS would pick up again..
