Cvs weekly 10/25-10/31

I remember the Oct. a couple years ago when it was INCREDIBLE deals! Oh those were the days.

The only thing I don't miss is the ECB printing off 2 days later. That was so stupid!!

Maggie

I had over a years worth of Pantene Ice Shine Shampoo and Conditioner for free from that month!! And I didn't even clear the shelves when I did it, they actually had plenty and restocked often. Of course, the bad part was DH got hooked on that stuff and doesn't like anything else as much at the Pantene.

All of this CVSing is new to me, so please forgive the questions from the newbie.

How long do the ECB's last? I saw some people mentioning that they expired. Are they good only on certian things or can you use them for anything?

Thanks!!

A couple of questions that maybe I should know .... LOL

How long do you guys keep your receipts? I have so many and yet now that I need one (rebate for men's haircolor ;) ) I can't find it. So I keep saving them, but whyyy??

Also -
Is there any way to tell if a fave product will be coming up on sale soon? It seems some of you know way ahead, and our wonderful Flakey does the next week early in the week (thanks again! :goodvibes ) But how about the week or two after that?

TIA! :goodvibes

I think I've kept every single receipt from CVS. I just throw them all in a box, it's pretty full by now! But that's just me LOL

Go to hotcouponworld.com/forums/cvs. They have the next couple weeks' ads posted.

I was only able to get a couple bottles of the Pantene Ice. My stores' shelves were cleaned out and they never restocked. All I could get was the SAMY shampoo and that stuff is TERRIBLE. I gave almost all of it away. I think I have one or two bottles left.

Which leads me to my next point. Here is an article listing the Top 10 WORST drugstore shampoos. It might help us decide when to use ECB and when NOT to. You will see that SAMY shampoo is Number 1 on the list!

Didn't do too badly this weeks. I had ECB's expiring and ended up burning about $6 worth....but my total OOP was <50 cents and I rolled everything forward, so a success :thumbsup2

On both cards I did 6 soup, 2 Palmolive, Nova Max, Fusion Razor and 3 Sudafed OM. The Sudafed worked out to be a $1 MM because there were $4 coupons a few weeks ago for that. The wording on the coupon is kind of funny....but they scan right through with no beeps. Also used lots of soup coupons that said exclude chicken noodle/tomato soup but they all scanned right through as well.

Did ok at Rite Aid too. Got the Vaseline Infusions, Light Bulbs, St. Ives, and Kotex. Only cost me the sales tax :goodvibes Just couldn't find anything to bring me up to the $25 mark to use the $5/$25 coupon, but I was also in a rush. Oh well, I think I have enough anyway in my "stash":lmao:

Just back where i found a great deal on the Gillette Fusion!

Not only were the advertised razors on sale w/ECB, but so were the 'Phantom' FULL SETs, including
-Battery-Powered Razor w/battery,
-Hydrogel and
-Gillette Body Wash

.... and were marked $8.99 w/ $5 ECB.

However, at the register it scanned at $5.75! I used a $4 coupon, paid $1.75 and got $5 ECB! woohoo! Love MMs of $3.25 :)

They had alot of them so i'm getting my SIL's coupon and will go back :)

Check it out in your stores! :goodvibes

Did anyone get an email in the last few minutes from CVS with Black Friday sneak peak in the title? When I opened it, there was nothing about Black Friday!! :confused3 I think they are teasing me!!!

They will expire one month from your purchase. The date is printed right on the ECB which is at the bottom of your receipt. You can use them on almost anything except tobacco products, Rx's, and gift cards.

ITA~~nothing about Black Friday deals!! :headache:

I want to know too, I'll try to check tomorrow. Did you get the BzzAgent kit for Zyrtec perfect measure?

I didn't know about the BzzAgent kit. I haven't checked in on my Bzz account for years :-(

I was just coming here to post that, that's up with that?

It was a 10-count box of the perfect measure for kids and a few $3 coupons off 1 box. I had to take a very involved test to get in on that one, about reporting adverse effects.

..but bad news, the children's liquid Zyrtec is not included in the deal, all types are at regular price and the cashier said someone else had tried it to see if they counted in the total.

Ran into another problem here today, don't know if it's nationwide - the 2 litre bottles of Mountain Dew do not produce the $1 extra buck, even though they are pictured in the ad. I did get a manual print, but only after being told that "I must have done the deal already." I think they just forgot to code in Mountain Dew, I'm sure Pepsi works.

Thanks - that's coming up soon too, I wish it would be $10 instead lol. Momtosam, if you want to try perfect measure, PM me your address and I'll send you two of the $3 coupons for that sale.

Pepsi deal does not work here in TN either... I had to pull out my ad to show them since they had no signage up and then they had to manually print my ecb as well. Acted like they had no idea it was an advertised ecb deal. Weird.

I think the cashiers should be required to go thru the ads each week and at least have a general idea of the major deals. I don't expect them to memorize the deals but just have a slight clue what their store is advertising.

The October we were talking about earlier in the thread, the one cashier wanted to keep my ECBs from a purchase of 4 bottles of Pantene because surely CVS wouldn't give me the full price of all 4 bottles back 2 days later and let me roll them right back into 4 more bottles. Even after I pointed to the 2' x 3' sign hanging above the windows she still didn't want to believe it was correct.

She just wanted all those ECBs for herself! :rolleyes1:headache:
