Cvs weekly 10/11-10/17

Does anyone have a plan for this week? I can't get motivated:headache:

I'm having a hard time thinking of a plan too. I need to use $14 ECB's this week, and I wanted to use a 5/25 too. My thought was to buy 2 pumpkin tools, 1 treat bag, $15 of Gillette, milk, eggs, and some other small filler to equal $25.
-5/25
-$4 Gillette q's
-$16 ECBs

I would be getting $10 ECB's back. That's the best thing I can think of right now.

BUT I've already been to 3 stores and haven't seen the pumpkin tool. Only saw the treat bag at 1 store. I really have to buy them all in one transaction if I want to use up all my Q's and ECB's. So I'm kinda stuck right now! :confused3 Oh well I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Wish I could help, but it's a bummer of a week from my pov. I did get a treat bag, 2 carving tools, and five Nabisco products since I had five $1 off Wheat Thins. That's all I could come up with so hoping next week is better.

I always have a hard time with the deals on a Saturday night so I try not to do that too much unless I have too. Also things seem to be out of stock by then. Just remember that anything that is a 2 or 3 day sale won't get turned on Saturday night, those will start the day stated.

I am heading out to Rite Aid in few minutes. This week and next week are great! Thats good because in September my rebate check was $6.99 which is pretty bad, lol. This month should be much better!

Oh! I hadn't thought about things being out of stock. Maybe I'll stick with my once/week plan after all. It'll be nice when we're going out of town though to get two weeks rolled into one.

I scored at RA today!!! Got $80 worth of stuff. Paid $54. Rebate check will be for $67! I had to split it into 3 transactions and use three 5/25 coupons with my other coupons, but it worked!!! This also puts me up over the $100 mark for their fall spending promo, so I'll get a gift card for $20! How'd you do? I've been averaging $50/month from RA in rebates. It all goes straight into the Disney account!!!

I can't wait to get back in MD where we have a RA close by. The one in TN is too far away :sad2:

I have $9 in ECB expiring on the 15th. I am really hoping some money making glitch is discovered before then. Otherwise I will be buying more toilet paper - yawn............

I did see one deal today that might turn out to be a hidden MM. There's a deal for buy 2 frames, get $7 ECB, in the ad it says PSA 6.99. But there were frames at my store that were 5.99 that were tagged. That's making me think that ALL the frames and albums might work for the deal. I think the cheapest frame I saw was $5, but there were several small albums that were around $2.99. I was too chicken to try it though! ;)

I got all the freebies except the Super Poligrip which was gone by the time I got there. I also did the Sea Breeze and the Magnum Razor/Refill bogo. I came out ahead about $10 on each "account" (I submit one set of receipts under my mom too). I had already hit the Gift of Savings amount, but my mom's account hadn't so today I finished up that as well.

I didn't even bother with CVS this week. I didn't have ECB's expiring and the Halloween stuff just didn't catch my eye. I might go in later this week and do the candy deal for Halloween, but all in all a pretty blah week!

I did the 2 carving tools, 1 treat bag and the $15 of Energizer batteries (needed them badly!) - had a 5/25 and three $1 peelie stickers from the batteries. Spent $10 ecbs- earned $10 ecbs and spent $5.74 OOP. Not bad since I had to get the batteries anyhow. So about $2 a pack for 8AA, 8AAA and 4C batteries.

That's all I got. I may move on to setting up next weeks deals. This week is kinda boring for me.

ETA: I tried to get one of the Minute Clinic flu coupon books because I swear every tv add I see now says "no purchase necessary" and it's even printed now on the weekly in store flyer... my mistake was sending DH to ask for it because we were in a hurry to make it to a movie for our anniversary (11 years and counting!). He came back and said the lady would not give him one without first giving him a shot!:lmao: A bit peeved since this store is the only one I have run across with a clinic and it's not in our town. Bummer.

I know this isnt cvs related...

If I wanted to start at RITEAID and have no rr...what would be the best deal to start with...I have a bunch of coupons so I thought this would be the time to jump in...

I may not be the best to answer this question but I will give it a shot.

At RA you pay upfront using your MQs and 5/25 coupon. So your best bet is to buy at least $25 of FAR (free after rebate) items and use the coupons to get your OOP as low as possible.

Then you must enter your receipts online. Do not request a rebate check until you are sure your shopping at RA is finished for the month. After requesting your check it will arrive in about 2 weeks. I cash this check and use it to purchase FAR items the next month.

Walgreens is the store that has RRs and frankly their setup is a pain in my behind. I never go in there with a plan that works.

Now if I have you totally confused maybe somebody else can fix my mess. :rolleyes1

That sounds about right :thumbsup2 You pay for everything up front at Rite Aid and then you submit your receipts and claim your rebate check once a month.

I have a credit card that I only use for Rite Aid purchases. When the bill comes I pay with my rebate check. Usually I break even or come within $5 for the month which is the sales tax. Sometimes I come out ahead and then just pocket the profit.

I like Rite Aid because I don't usually have to make a gazillion trips. I don't have to worry about ECB's expiring. I don't have to do a ton of advanced planning on what order I need to pay in or anything like that. If I make a mistake, I can see online that the rebate didn't clear and I can easily fix it by returning the product and buying the right one. And if I decide to take a month off or a few weeks or if I am on vacation, it is no biggie. Nothing will "expire".

Yes, it is a pain to pay the money up front, but if you are disciplined to do it my way with the credit card or to use the rebate check for the next months purchases, it is very very easy. And yes, this is a GREAT week to start!

Isn't there a site for Rite Aid shoppers, similar to the ilovecvs site?

And does anyone know where to get the 5/25 Rite Aid coupon?

TIA!

(I thought I'd posted this already but can't find it...?)

The site is iheartriteaid dot com.

There's a "Rite Aid printable coupons" box in the upper right corner of that site's homepage. When you click on that box, it gives a link to register at myriteaid dot com and the $5/25 will be emailed to you.

I joined!
But I didn't get a 5/25 coupon :(

The coupon on the site expired 9/30/09 but it looks like she's still using it?
Do they take expired the way CVS does?

Thanks again!! :goodvibes
