Ok, we now have a CVS near our home, I've never really followed these threads because it didn't matter. So, now that it could save me $$ can someone please explain how this works to me and please explain how it would benefit me to start shopping at CVS and how ECBs work and all that good stuff?

It's pretty simple and addictive. Suppose you buy the Colgate toothpaste for $2.99 with the $1 off coupon. Then you'll get $2 in "CVS money" called Extra Care Bucks (ECBs). You then take your $2 in ECBs plus your coupons from the paper and get Skippy, Ragu, etc. and at the end, you get $3 in ECBs. There are very experienced people here who can routinely get stacks of stuff for nearly nothing.

Note: I did learn that if you're going to use a Flexible Spending Account (or FSA reimbursement), don't use your ECBs on that order. You'd be better off saving the ECBs for something that won't count.

Hi Flaky - Thank you soooo sooo much for posting this every week. I was just downloading all my coupons for Sunday. I was thinking about the Lumene as my face has been so dry this week and went to the CVS website to download some of the coupons. While I was there I noticed they have a coupon for $1 off regular huggies and a second coupon for $2.50 off the naturals. Not sure if the naturals are included but if they are that's a good coupon.

One barcode=1 coupon. If the coupon says $1/2 you can't use it. If you have 2 $1/1 coupon, you can only use one. Some cashier's may push them through but it's technically not correct usage.

The only exception is bj's wholesale, you can use coupons for every item in a multipack that is packed individually. 2 cans =2 coupons, 1 box of cereal with 2 bags =1 coupon.

It was not posted with the pringles or the powerade.
