We just used the CVS Minute Clinic for the first time yesterday.
My son is considered "high risk" because he has asthma so he always MUST get a flu shot. Each year, our ped's office has been more and more of a pain about these shots. I swear they only do 5 shots a day. I called a few weeks ago to get the shot and they couldn't "fit" us in until sometime after November 11th and then in the middle of the day. COME ON. Oh, and they aren't late getting their vaccine or anything.
So, my husband took him to the Minute Clinic. It took all of 5 minutes, they took our insurance card, filed for us and everything. It was wonderful. The nurse practictioner did say not to come on weekends though because they get swamped. The one working at ours is a retired nurse practictioner (from the Army), she still does work at Ft. Belvoir, and does the Minute Clinic for part time work.
