Cvs & rite aid 4/3-4/9 week COME SEE

Great deals today! I got the 2 packs of flosser, Crest Pro Health Rinse, Complete, & 2 bottles of the Right Guard Body Wash for only the tax of $1.49! I had 5.88 in coupons & used 18.36 in ECB's then got back my $18.5 of ECB's.
I should have tried to use the 4/20. I'm always scared to use it when it's not one that's sent to me.
Get your Complete early...my store at 9am only had 3 boxes on the shelf.

I'm new to CVSing and I was just organizing my coupons and going through the deals when I noticed that my SS insert in my local Sunday paper doesn't contain the Complete contact solution coupon. Has this happened to anyone else? It's very frustrating when I get ready to get a great deal and then I don't get the coupon!

Unfortunately, there are significant regional differences in the coupon inserts. For example, we in the Twin Cities have two major newspapers. The Minneapolis coupon inserts are far superior and will often have many more coupons than the St. Paul paper. Sometimes when I receive coupons in the mail from my coupon buddy on the train, I notice it's a coupon for the same product as ours but with a different cents off.

There are regional differences in coupon amounts and types. I use the coupon previews and match-ups as a guide to try and plan my trips in advance. It is very disappointing when I'm planning for a deal, and I don't get the coupon. A couple of weeks ago, I didn't get an ENTIRE coupon insert that others got. I missed some good deals that week. :(

Thank you for the info. I feel better that at least its not just me! I will just make due with the deals I do have. Thanks again!

I have the same trouble here. For example today my paper only had the PG insert.

I used to worry also. Then one day my manager told me he would try it. He said the worst that will happen is it will beep:confused3 So, if the beep didnt bother him then it didnt bother me:rolleyes: boy, I have come a long way. I used to turn red faced :lovestrucwhen I used more then 10 coupons:lmao:

I think I made about $3 today--spent $14 (plus $2 for the paper) and got $19 in ecb! Fun! And my cashier said I did a good job--I was a little worried about that.

Question: do you leave the ecb all attached to the bottom of your receipt, or do you separate them?

You did great! I cut all the ECB's off my receipt when I return home. I paper clip my Extra Care card to my ECB's to the receipt plus all the extra coupons from the red coupon machine at the store. Then when I prepare my shopping list for the following week, I clip that to it plus all the mfg. coupons I plan to use. Then I have everything all clipped together in one place and I don't lose my mind. :rotfl:

Good week for me! So glad I made DH switch to the Complete solution a few years ago. We haven't paid for solution since!!!

On both cards I did: Complete, Crest rinses, Rightguard Bodywash, GUM flossers, and Oral B toothbrushes. I broke even for the week.

At Rite Aid I did the TENA (great moneymaker), Poligrip (my inserts didn't have the coupon but still free), scrunci, Gilette Fusions and Nasadocks. I came out about $5 ahead there!

I was pretty impressed with my speed, hit 2 CVS and 2 Rite Aid and got home in 1.5 hours!

I use an envelope to keep both ECBs and the coupons I'm going to use that week.

On the front I'll write what ECBs I have, and the date they expire, so a quick glance at the store tells me what I have and can use:

5/2
$2.00
$3.00

5/3
$2.50
$3.00

And after I use the ECB, I cross them out.

Once the envelope is messy enough LOL, I get a new one.

It really keeps me organized and I rarely let an ECB expire this way.

:thumbsup2

I do this too! A couple weeks ago I had a revelation. I have been throwing away envelopes from all the junk mail that I get. So I started saving the envelopes and write on the back my shopping list, etc. Before, I was using new envelopes from a box to put my list on. :headache:

I do CVS and Walgreens. So I get all my coupons organized and clip them together with a big paper clip. I have one clip for CVS and one for Walgreens.

My envelopes are all saved from the junk mail too. I also use them for shopping lists, notes on when ECB's and Plus Ups expire, etc. When they get ratty, I toss them in the recycling and grab a new one. Doesn't really save any money I don't think but it is much better to re-use something than to use a new envelope that someone had to cut a tree down for! We are big on the environment at my house.

Just a heads up - my coupons this week had a $1/2 for Pantene, an Aussie/Herbal Essence coupon for $1/2 (Not as good as the BOGO, but something, anyway) and a 20c off Dawn (which is on sale for .99)

Do the BOGO herbal essence and Aussie coupons not say there is a limit of 4 per transaction? I ordered some off eBay (we need shampoo!) and hoping I get them in time to do the deal. Not sure how a raincheck would work for that since you can only do 4 like P&G coupons at a time. Curious if anyone else knows the wording on them. Thanks.

Even if there is, couldn't you use 4 and then go back the next day and do the other two? The "spend $30" deals don't generally have to be in the same transaction, in my experience. It'll just print once you hit the $30 during the sale.

I think I had a "personal best" week at CVS this week !!! I'm so proud!!

this is what I got :

P & G deal
2 - Gain (had $1.00 coupons for each)
2 - Dawn (had $ .50 coupons for each)
2 - Herbal Essence conditioner ( had $ 1.00 off 2 coupon)

1 - Crest Complete Rinse ( had $ 1.00 coupon)
1 - Crest Clinical Gum toothpaste ( had $ 1.00 coupon)

2 - Butler Flosses ( had $ .75 coupons for each) money maker

after using the $ 4.00 off $20 coupon, my quarterly ECB $ 5.50 and various other ECB, I paid $ 4.20 and got back $ 19.00 in ECB !!!

So then, I got the Fiber One Cereal.... I bought 4 boxes ( 2 for $6.00) had a $ .75 coupon for each box. Came out to $ 9.00. I wound up having to buy a few caramels to get it to $ 10.00 so I could use a $ 10.00. So I paid $.94 cash (for tax). for 4 boxes of Fiber One!!!:banana:

and if you're wondering.....who EATS Fiber One?? well, DH loves the stuff and if you ever follow Hungry Girl, it's a staple item for "faux frying"...you crush it up and substitute the Fiber one in place of breadcrumbs...then bake. So this sale makes the cereal SOOOOO cheap !!! I still have $ 9.00 ECB, so we're going tonight to get more cereal !

I'm not even kidding, it was one of my happiest CVS days EVER !!!!! The checkout girl was in awe !!! :rotfl: Thank you again Flaky for helping keep us all afloat !!!

Right, but the wording makes getting a raincheck impossible wouldn't it? I should be fine, there are 6 CVS around here... Should find plenty once I get the coupons between all the different stores.

I think I'm finally settled on what I'm going to get - the Gold Bond, one of the Dawns, six of the Aussie/HE, two of the Pantenes, and Crest Rinse.

$5/25 coupon, $10.70 in mfg coupons, 16.50 in ECB means I'll pay $1.61 and get $7.50 in ECB back. (It's so hard to roll them at the beginning of the quarter, since we end up with a lot of ECB's - my family has a ridiculous amount of prescriptions.)

But the 3, 2 and 2.5 ECBs will do me good in the coming weeks when it comes to rolling them. :)

I think the BOGOF were from a past week's insert. Not this week.
