I have a question. I have just learned how you guys get all this great stuff practically free. Today I took a coupon I printed for a $25 gift card with a prescription transfer. The clerk had a hard time getting it to work. She said someone had posted it using their Extra Care Card number. Is there somewhere I can get a coupon using my number?

I am so easily confused that I am not sure I will be able to do what you guys are doing.

I believe I read that you can call customer service # on back of your card and ask for 1 to be sent and sometimes the pharmacies have some on the side as well. In my experience it has always taken them awhile to push through that stupid coupon. I think they don't get that many of them and they aren't really coupon trained in the pharmacy area. I have never heard that explanation though

Also read the shopping trips from other posters for ideas and combinations that will work for you and the more you do it the easier it gets!

Thank you for the quick reply. I think I will try the one I have printed off and see if the same girl might be there tomorrow. If they can not get it to work then I will call and try to get one.

Are these on-line coupons or in newspapers?? My local paper is so crappy coupon-wise, I sometimes don't even get the Procter and Gamble one.....

These are supposed to be in Sudays paper. My paper differs from my uncle who lives only 2 miles down the road because I get the "town" paper and he gets the "city" paper so check around for different editioons or areas. Also check another type of paper vs. the local. Sometimes the bigger city papers have the better coupons vs. the local paper.

Not crazy! When I went to Vegas in June, we were leaving Sunday morning at 9ish and not getting back until the following Sunday night at midnight. All I kept thinking about the night before was that I HAD to get up when my alarm went off at 6, run to CVS and run home to finish packing! I'm glad we have a 24 hour CVS about 2 miles from me.

You guys are too FUNNY!! I am the same way. When we were down at Disney in May for 2 weeks, my mother and DH would not allow a quick CVS fix. I went into severe withdrawal during those two weeks. Everytime we would drive by a CVS, I would sigh and just stare out the window. Everytime we passed one by, my heart broke just a little bit more. (I know, could I be any MORE dramatic???)

I'm going to go for it this week and start officially saving money and getting Extra Bucks at CVS.......you guys have really given me motivation!!

Quick question though:

I have lots of manufactors coupons. How will that effect my totals?? Like, I have a $7 off scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner thing, which will bring down my total big time off the buy $30 get $15 in bucks. Will I still be able to get them?? Do I wait until they total the register and then hand them the coupons?? I actually have some Cottonelle ones to, so I don't want them to say "oh, sorry---you're total with your coupons was $20 instead of $30 so you don't get the bucks"..............thanks for your help!!

You will be fine. CVS counts the amount you spend BEFORE coupons are deducted. That's the best part about it! The more coupons you have, the lower your total will be, and you'll still get the ECB. The CVS employee usually rings up everything, then deducts the coupons. Good luck!

Woo Hoo! DH needs his blood pressure medicine renewed!! I had him fill the original prescription at Walgreens last month, now I can transfer it to CVS!! There is still a valid transfer prescription coupon, isn't there???
