CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 4/29-5/5

My first two trips last week cost me way more that I expected. But I did get good deals, so it works out in the end.

Today I made 3 trips to CVS. I'm learning to focus more and plan ahead better (if that is possible- I spent hours planning last week! ) Total I spent a little over $1.00 OOP, I started with $23 EBC and left with $34 EBC! Now that's a successful trip!

Here's what I bought
2 boxes Alavert ( and they were bonus bozes with 18 rather than 12 tablets!)
2 boxes Poise pantyliners ( I'll donate these)
5 Oral B Pulsar Pro Health toothbrushes
3 Softsoap body washes
5 Bic G2 pens (they were on clearance sale and they are my favorite pens)
5 Fruit 2 O
2 Mentadent pumps
10 reese candy bars (they were fillers)

This would have been $100 with no sales or coupons and I paid about $1!!! I think I'm finally making believers out of my family.

I also called the pharmacy today to get a prescription tranferred. Tomorrow I'll pick that up and get my $25 gift card.

I also stopped at K mart and found Pledge Mutlisurface trial size packs (3 individually wrapped wipes) on sale for $0.10 ! They had been $1. I bought all 7 packs! And I was tempted to go to all the other check out aisles to get all the rest of them. But I stopped myself.

This is too addictive.

Yay! DH & DS have finally caught onto the concept that I go to CVS to get 'free' stuff too. It IS fun, isin't it? Almost as good as Black Friday shopping...

Don't even get me started on Black Friday shopping . That is practically a religious experience. I am lucky to have a DH that willingly goes Black Friday shopping with me . He actually enjoys it and gets into our "plan of attack"!

Check out the Sunday paper for some great coupons - especially for All & the Schick Intuiton. AND my CVS flier had a $25 GC w/prescription coupon plus a $3 off $15 purchase coupon.

When are next weeks deals usually posted? I just started doing CVS deals about 1 1/2 weeks ago. At that time the deals were posted through 5/5. Now we are in that week and no new posts have occurred in the last week and a half. I've checked the other sites that are mentioned in the first post and there's nothing there either.

I'm not complaining, just curious (an anxious!). Where does this info come from when it is posted early?

I went to CVS today. I transferred a prescription and got the $25 GC. It cost me $10 for the prescription, but I would have had to pay that no matter what. Then I purchased 2 All Big & Mighty with 2 $1 coupons, 2 bozes of Ex-Lax with a $3 coupon, Garnier shampoo and conditioner, and 2 garnier face cleaning products. I had 2 garnier coupons and actually bought another Sunday paper while I was there to get 2 more. So I had 4 $1 coupons for the Garnier.

I paid $0.49 OOP. I went in with $32 worth of ECB and left with $40 between EBC and the gift card. Another successful trip.

I took my sister with me today. She signed up for a card. We have a deal, she prints up coupons for me (my printer's broken) and I share my loot with her. Today I gave her a bottle of Arm & Hammer laundry detergent, a tube of toothpaste, an Oral B Pulsar toothbrush, a bottle of Softsoap body wash, deodorant, and a Garnier face scrub. She also gave me one of her cards so I can shop for deals for her.

I wish I had Garnier Fructis coupons. It said in the flyer to look for coupons in Sunday's paper but mine didn't have any

I bought a Sunday paper this morning and it had three sections of coupons. It had the Garnier in it. So when I went back into town I thought I'd get another paper because I could use more of the Garnier coupons. I bought the paper from a different city because I thought it would be silly to have two of the same papers (even though I don't plan on reading them). Well the second paper did not have the Garnier coupons. Well at that point I decided that I was not going to buy a third paper. But when I actually got to CVS I checked a third paper and it had the right coupons so i bought it. It was $1.25 and I used $2 in coupons from it right away, so it was worth it.

Is there a Revlon deal I missed? On the deals.families board there is a post from a person describing a Revlon deal with $10 EBC. It is posted for this week's deals. Is this old or did I miss it for this week?

My paper also didn't have the coupon. On another site I was on it listed all the coupons - I didn't have half of them - and they were good coupons I could have used.

I redeemed a $4.00 off $20.00 and $32.00 in bucks back and my total with tax was $3.87 The bad news not so many new BB's so I only have $12 to start next week with!

For the 1.99 GUM toothbrushes that are suppose to be FREE, I only received $1 ECB. My mom asked me to get her a pack so I used her card and the same thing only $1.

I also had problems with the Garnier buy $15 and get $5 ECB. I bought 3 products, (2) 5.99 skin and (1) 3.49 haircare. It did not credit me for the 3.49 so the $5 didn't print out. I still got the tote bag but the cashier said to contact cust. serv.

Just got back - what I great week! I plan on making several trips!

Anyway, this trip I got:

OOP = $6.45

I got back $6 ECB for the Intuition, $2.77 ECB for the toothpaste and $5.97 ECB for the Oral B. I came out over $8 ahead! Oh, and that doesn't count the $3 off $15 coupon in the paper I bought or the other coupons I'll use this week!

Will the April Monthly EBC deals work until the last day of the month? I have so many Softsoap coupons now, plus Softsoap is on sale this week. I'v reached my limit, but my sister just got a card today. This could be a money maker and would be worth the 20 minute trip to the nearest CVS.

Also, are EBCs specific to a certain cardholder, or can I use my EBCs to start my sister with her card?

Yes the April deals are good through the 30th. The ECBs have to be used with the card that you got them with.

Does anybody know if there is a limit on the B1G1 Free All detergent? I would really like to stock up if I can!

I didn't see a limit, but I was wondering the same thing myself. I have several coupons for the Small & Mighty. With coupons this is too good of a deal to pass up!

I didn't have the greatest CVS trip this week. I had to speak with the manager about several things and some are still not resolved. I have to wait until tomorrow to call in to corporate.

Order 1:

Schick Intuition 9.99
-$4 coupon from paper
-$5.54 ECB
= .45 + .33 tax = .78

And I got back a $6 ECB

Order 2:
Garnier Nutrioniste towellettes $5.99
-$1 coupon from paper
-$4.27 ECB
= .72 + .13 tax = .85

Order 3:
Garnier 2n1 Shampoo/Conditioner $3.49
-$1 coupon from paper
-$2 ECB
= .49 + .02 tax = .51

Order 4:
Garnier Nutrioniste face scrub $5.99
Gum Twin Pack Toothbrushes $1.99

-$5.98 ECB (they adjusted my $6 ECB)

So,
Problem 1: They were out of tote bags for the spend $15 Garnier and get tote bag free deal. He took my name and number and is trying to get more.

Problem 2: Only $1 ECB from Gum deal even though my ad says $1.99. The manager tried to say I had already done the deal so that's why it only printed $1. That totally didn't make sense. If I had already done the deal, why would it print anything?? Then he looked at the bottom of the receipt and said, "See, it says offer limit reached 1" I said, "That is from THIS transaction." He tried to call corporate, but they were closed.

Problem 3: I didn't get my $5 ECB from the Garnier deal. For some reason, these rang up as $9.48 for Maybelline deal and $5.99 for Garnier deal, even though I only bought Garnier stuff??? I have to call corporate for this too.

Normally I wait until later in the week so I can see what people buy and what problems they might have. But last month I missed out on the ProHealth toothbrushes because I waited awhile. So, I didn't want to miss out on the free tote bag and the free Schick Intuition razor this week, so I went early. Of course that is when I run into problems!!
