**Any limits posted are either reported from other members or actually in the CVS ad. If I "test" a limit, I will post confirmed limit after the item. Some limits CAN be regional. My location is in central MA, so keep this in mind when I post a confirmed limit.

Grrr...I can't get the Stayfrre coupon to print. :headache: I think I have some others from Sunday paper inserts, though.

I read on another message board that the Listerine Tooth Defense for the April monthly deals may be a limit of 2 now, not 5. I haven't actually bought any yet, so I am not sure.

It is suspected that it may have been because last week it was also on sale with $1 ECB (limit 2) and it messed up the monthly deal but only someone trying it will be able to find out. I managed to purchase all my monthly stuff the 1st week so all my limits have been met & I can't test it out.

I found another...I'm assuming all neosporin products (purchase $10 worth..get $3 ecb)

anyone know the May specials (like the toothpaste, etc. for April)?

So far this is all we have...

Although the limit is suppose to be 5, you are only allowed two now. I purchased two to start off since there were only two bottles left at the CVS store I went to and it showed up on my receipt as limit reached. So if you do go out and buy them, you will only be able to get two for free.
I still have not found a CVS that has the Crest toothpaste! I had a hard time finding a few of the other free items like the softsoap and the oral B toothbrushes. After going to a total of 8 CVS pharmacies, the only thing I am missing now is the the Crest toothpaste! Since I only have three more days to get them, I highly doubt I will be able to since they are sold out at all 8 stores I went to!!

You can request a raincheck for them. Even products that have an ECB on them you can request rainchecks for. They are supposed to do 1 of 2 things...

1) the store can write you a raincheck for the price of the product AFTER ECB
2) the store can substitute a similar product and give you the same discount on that product. (If the ECB is $5.99, you would get a $5.99 discount)

When requesting rainchecks, I would ask for quantity of 1 toothpaste or whatever the item is and redeem separately so they do not give you a limit issue.

Ask what your stores policy is.

I just want to get this straight. So if I want to get a Crest toothpaste, I should ask for 5 separate rainchecks? Would they give this to me?

Well, I didn't realize I didn't post this til now since I got busy! I just stopped at a CVS near where I work during lunch and they told me they do not give rainchecks for monthly specials!! I am so bummed!!

The information I posted previous was not 1st hand so I called CVS.

If it is something you wish to pursue, I contacted CVS customer care to find out what is their policy on this(800-746-7287 Monday through Friday, 8:30am-10:00 pm ET). The Customer Service Rep I spoke with said to go ahead and get a raincheck from the manager of the store for whatever the shelf/sale price is on that item. Once the product is available, purchase with your rain check. Then call CS 48 hours after the transaction and they will generate the ECB to print the next time you go into CVS. You will need the information from your receipt so hang on to it. Now this might sound like a PITA but if it is coming down to the end of the month and you want these products and the ECB's from them, I would probably do it. If it is the 1st couple weeks, I might hold off till the last week in hopes of the store getting the product in.

ETA: So if you want the max. limit, go ahead and get a raincheck for the full amount. I would also just ask for a raincheck for crest natures expression toothpaste (fill in line with whatever item) and not implicate that is a monthly deal. Just tell them there are none on the shelf and you wish to get a rain check for that item.

When I went originally during my lunch hour, they told me since it is a monthly special item, they have to call the manager. After they called, they told me that the manager said they do not give rainchecks for monthly specials. So question is, should I try another CVS store?:confused3

P.S. Thanks for taking the time out to call CVS corporate for me! I really appreciated it!

I bought 5 Listerine tooth defense yesterday and only got credit for two. I hadn't read yet that the limit had changed!

I've only got the Softsoap and the listerine so far. Everything else has been sold out all month!

I would either try a different store if it is not too inconvenient or go back to the original store and just ask for a raincheck - do not specify monthly deal just the item. It is not up to the manager to decide. If they do not have a product on the shelf you can ask for a raincheck. If the manager is being a pill, tell them you called CS to ask what to do when an ECB item is out of stock and you were instructed to get a raincheck for that item and they can call CS to confirm if they wish.

Hello! I have been intrigued by all the deals reported by fellow DISers at CVS, soooo, I tried it out today and feel I made out pretty well, considering it was my first try. I ended up spending $62 OOP, but my receipt said coupon savings was $12, I had $6.50 worth of coupons (incl. $4 off $20 purchase) and then received back $23 in ECB coupons!

To be more specific, this is what I purchased:

3 boxes of Kellogg's cereal (had coupon for $1 off 3, not 2) 2/$4
Value pack of Listerine (large and small bottle) $3.99
Two Garnier Nutritioniste Skincare products $12.99 and $5.99
Maybelline Mascara $4.99
5 Fruit2O waters 5/$5
Dove Cucumber/Green Tea Lotion $6.99
vaseline Intensive Care Lotion $5.99
Excedrin $4.29 ...I think that was all.

I had coupons for $1.00 off cereal, $1.50 off pain relief item and $4 off $20 purchase...Do you experts think I made out alright for a first-timer?

Now, looking forward to planning out next week's list and can't wait to see how I do! Thanks all for your help :goodvibes
