CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 2/3/08-2/9/08

I posted this over at HCW and thought I'd post here to give everyone a heads up!
*******************************************************

I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, so if it is, my apologies. Just a heads up on the CVS brand Children's Aspirin in the February monthly booklet.

You most likely won't find any boxes that say "Children's Aspirin". They will probably say "Adult Low Dose".

The first store I went to today, I looked for the "Children's Aspirin" and couldn't find them, so I asked the manager. He took me over and looked at me like I had 8 heads when I said I couldn't find it and there was a shelf full of "Adult Low Dose". He looked high and low and that's all he found, so he said it's the right product. He said if it didn't give the ECB, he would give me cash and make it right.

So I bought 2 boxes (1 orange, 1 cherry) and the ECBs came out.

Just make sure the one you pick up is the same quantity (36 ct) and same dosage (81 mg) and is the Chewable kind in either Orange or Cherry.

However....I did see ones that actually said "Children's Aspirin" on them at another store. They had both the "Children's Aspirin" and the "Adult Low Dose". I bought 4 (on another card) and the ECB worked for both.

So if you don't see "Children's Aspirin", get the "Adult Low Dose".

Well crud, then mine probably are as I'm sure they are the same ones you have.

I just found some new ones at The Coupon Clippers that I am going to order. They don't expire until 2/29 so you might want to check yours.

Thanx,

is asprin healthy for kids to take? for some reason i thought it was not? just trying to figure out if i could use this or not?

A lot of adults take low dose for their hearts. I didn't think kids were suppose to take it. I like to take it because you can chew it and it works faster!

I don't think that aspirin is recommended these days for children. Is it Reyes syndrome or something that it causes? I don't remember.

Anyways, another good deal this week is Theraflu. Buy 2, get $10 ECB. PSA either 5.99 or 6.49. There were Qs earlier this month in an insert for $3/2, making it free after Q and ECB. And if you are lucky, you also got a CRT recently for Theraflu (I got $3/2), making it a moneymaker!

That's probably why the boxes are changing to take off the "Children's" name!

I NEVER get any CRT's printed.....................

So is it safe for adults to use? for headaches?

As long as you aren't allergic and you don't have problems with stomach bleeding/ulcers since it's an NSAID, which aggravate stomach bleeding/ulcers (which is why I can no longer take Ibuprofen.....well, if I was downright desperate, I'd take it, but it would upset my stomach).

Children should never take aspirin due to Rey (spelling?) Syndrome. BTW I loved J&J baby aspirins when I was a kid. Maybe I have J&J BA poisoning!!!!;)

Are you only buying one colgate? Are both the $2 and the .75 coupons manufacturers coupons? If so, you won't be able to use both Colgate coupons. Don't worry. There is a toothpaste deal every week so you will get to use all of the coupons sooner or later!

Maggie

I'm planning on buying 2 colgates each transaction i have 2/$1.00 to go w/each paste - i was going to try and sneak in an extra coupon - i figure it won't work!
