Ha! I love that he knew immediately that Landon shouldn't ride.

Isn't it funny how 2 kids from the same parents can be do different in some ways! When Gwen joined marching band with Morgan, I swear it took a while for everyone to realize they were sisters.

I was so grateful I got that experience with those two. Leslie and I can’t wait for the day we get to take Evie to HHN for more scary fun.

I am with Landon, I am good never going to HHN! I do not like to be scared.

he boys were over at the Burning Blade Tavern. They ordered a garlic stake snack for us all to try.

Those look good! I want to try that and the meat stake things they have.

It was a bout of conflicting emotions. Grateful we had the chance to experience any of Epic. Disappointment that we catered to so much of what his siblings seemed to want. I know he didn’t regret going with his siblings, but I knew he also couldn’t stop thinking about how different it would have been had it just been us four.

It's hard traveling in a big group. Someone is bound to have to compromise. I hope the rest of the trip goes well!

Great update! I totally could feel your pain about the group dynamic and also the irritating but well meaning server. But all in all it sounds like a tiring but fun day. Your DD looks so happy to be in Dark Universe! My youngest grandson has loved everything scary since he was very young. I would love to take him someday. Hope you all woke up rested and refreshed!

I'm really glad you did Monsters Unchained. I have motion sickness issues but did okay on this. There is just so much to see on the ride. I wish we had walked slower through the line

I hope the crepe was good. We enjoyed ours, but we didn't have the distractions you did.

I love the update! Evie looks delighted in your pictures in Dark Universe -

Evie really enjoyed Dark Universe and it inspired her to watch all the classic monster movies. She loves the original Dracula.

Both the Garlic Steak and the Butterbeer Crepe look SO good.

The food at Epic is a major step up from the other Universal parks. You can tell they put a lot of thought into all the dining locations.

It's amazing, really. Or how they can remind you so much of other family members. I tell people all the time that Evie is a mini version of Alex's sister, Leslie, and Landon is a duplicate of my brother. I swear sometimes I watch Landon and think, "He's the exact same as Isaac as a preteen." In fact, rather than do the sibling name mixup when he drives me crazy, I call him by my brother's name. He thinks it's hilarious.

I think the Burning Blade is a win all-around. Their "secret" drink we got on our second Epic day was nice and refreshing, and their donut holes were delicious. Definitely a must when at Epic!

Dark Universe was perfect for fans of all things scary! It was a nice change of pace from the Disney magic. Not that I don't love that. That's a given. But it was fun to see a twist on that immersive theming in an amusement park but made for everything creepy. I love that there's something for everyone's tastes at Epic.

I agree! I know I missed a lot of details and sights on Monsters because I was trying my hardest to take everything in!
The ride was definitely a lot better than Forbidden Journey as far as motion sickness goes! I think had I ridden earlier in the day and not had a bunch of carbs/sugar I would have been fine. Timing is everything.
