CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 1/27/08-2/2/08

Went today lots of cottonelle no dial or q-tips.
definitely getting harder on coupons. I gave her the mQ first which brought my total below 75 and she said I cant use my 15 off 75 I told her that it was before coupons after a little confrontation she got the manager I told her I would void the whole transaction and then give her the cvs coupons 1st then. Is there a proper coupon way LOL? Anyway my total was over 90 so I used the 15 0ff and 4 off20. she started to say you can't use both until I explained I was spending $90. Nothing oop used 20 ecb and got 30!!! so a good day>>

Yes - there is an order:

1. CVS $/$$ coupons. One at a time, biggest to smallest.
2. CRT coupons (especially if they are $/$$)
3. MF coupons
4. ECBs
5. Pennies OOP :rotfl2:

I've had cashiers void everything and re-ring several times. I don't mind waiting when I'm saving that much money! :thumbsup2

Question to the experts: Do you recommend giving CRT coupons that are for specific products BEFORE or AFTER the MF coupons? TIA!

I always do money off 1st, CRT's second, ECB's last and then any OOP money. Mfg coupons are used prior to ECB's but after all CVS coupons because I figured I can used the mfg's at ANY store.

Bought the Cottonelle today. They had quite a bit left in the Mashpee, MA store. (On the Cape). If anyone is nearby!

I want to go back later but I'm waiting for a shift change! Don't want to see the same cashier. She is there every morning.

As others have written, there is definitely a "proper order" when CVS shopping.
I ALWAYS give the CVS $x/$x printable coupon first.
I then give CVS CRT coupon(s).
I then give manufacturer coupon(s).
I then give CVS ECB(s).
My goal is to keep the OOP below $1-$2 (mine won't adjust down if I'm negative, so I'm a frequent "candybar filler" shopper)

The printed receipt shows your coupons (incl. ECBs) reordered from lowest to highest.

Today I used a $10/$50 CVS printable coupon and also a $10/50 CRT on a $54 order and was happy that this was not considered super-stacking and went smoothly.

How could you use both?:confused3 Once you put in the first $10 the balance was $44 and the second could not be used.

My store has let me use both $/$$ and a CRT $/$$ on the same transaction even after the axe came down about super stacking. My guess is that both read the subtotal and not the total after the first discount is rung thru.

I would never had thought that this was O.K. (I have never even tried to super-stack) but then someone else posted that it was fine. I even posted a question asking if this was allowed before I went today, because I'd hate to be put through the interrogation at my neighborhood CVS. But lo and behold, it went fine today. That's why I wanted to post that, because I figured I wasn't the only one who didn't know this. I use to always throw away the $10/$50 CRTs as that's a lot for me to spend, and the few times I did have that large an order, I always instead used a $10/$50 printable. Live and learn.

Guess the CRT is viewed like an ECB coupon rather than a CVS printable coupon. Best example I can think of it is this: Earlier in the month, I had a $21 or $22 order and was allowed to use a $4/$20 CVS printable and also a $4/$20 CRT on diet-nutition (the order was SoyJoys and I forget what else from that isle). After the $4/$20 CVS printable went through, my balance was below $20 but the $4/$20 CRT was O.K. to use.

I always do my transaction and then leave that store..maybe stop at another one. Does anyone do a transaction..put the stuff in the car and go back into the same store agian???popcorn::

I sometimes do this if its not the same items. Although I have been doing less of this because my store is now allowing more than one ECB per transaction. They use to only allow ONE ECB per transaction :sad2: . So I would do small orders to keep my OOP low. But now that they are letting more than one ECB, I can use the $/$$ coupons since the transaction totals can be higher. Since I started using the printables, I've done less of the multi-transaction per store and will hop from store to store on Saturday.

I never get any CRT coupons?

I've been CVSing since the beginning of this month! Does it take time to start getting there coupons?

thanx

FYI, went to another CVS today and got 2 more pkgs of the Cottonelle - 4.99 each and got the ecb's! THink i'm good for a year or so......in Total i have 100 rolls........................

Here is my question the Razor I bought is the same one I bought last week that gave me 6ECB's but it did not give them last night. I guess I am now out of my 2 off coupon. I need to return this and repurchase? How does that work?

What day did you purchase last week's deal? If it was Saturday, that's probably why. Since many stores go ahead and activate next week's deals on saturday, some pretty early in the day, I've found that if I wait until Saturday to do a deal that is repeated the next week and can do it again, purchasing it on Saturday will cause it to count it as the next week's instead.

I usually call CS in that case and they set my ECB to print next time I'm in the store. No reason to go back and return. They can pull up your transactions and see that you did indeed purchase them in different sales weeks.

I think with the Mac and Cheese you have to buy 2 of the packs to get the $2 ECB.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Just checked my package sitting right here on the table and you buy 2 of the 4-packs to get the ECB.

I've got like 8 trillion CVS stores within a 3 mile radius of my house (ok, really only about 9 or 10), so not usually. If I have that much stuff and don't have a high enough $/$$ coupon to cover it, I split it into smaller transactions and do them back to back. Never had anyone get bothered by it. I do try to do it when there isn't a line though.

Found more Cottenelle today or as we call it "Christmas paper". That give me 160 double rolls of toilet paper. Also got the ECBs. I did the dial deal 3 times too.

Is there a thread that discusses how one gets this CVS card? I see in their flyers that you need the savings card to get the price, but where do you get one? Do you sign up at the store?

It simple, just fill out the info in store and you will instantly receive the card

Go to the store, ask for one and use it at that visit. They will give you a paper to fill out with name address etc. but that can be done any time or online.
