CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 1/27/08-2/2/08

the Sambucol didn't print so they gave me a giftcard. I think I have $23 ECBs total to spend now

If you have a chance to call CVS's toll free number tomorrow on the Sambucol, could you? I finally found a bottle and the ECB didn't print and it seems like if they get enough calls they will do something to make the ECB print in 48 hours. Mine just told me to call and the last two times this has happened, they act like it's just me, even though others here have reported the same problem.

Hi. I am new to CVS ECB and have a question, does every item in the store that will generate ECB have a sign on it ? For example I ' think ' I saw the J&J Qtips but saw nothing about ECB's how do you know what items will generate ECB or it is only the ones in the flyer

Depends on your store - some are good about signage and some do hardly any

Reading the weekly ad as well as the monthly ad (my bibles ) are how I know what the current deals. By checking out the deals for the next week I can usually come up with a couple plans of attack - so if something is out I have an alternate. Sometimes it just completely gets thrown out the window and they have nothing on hand in the store and I can get frazzled but I always know which items are free after ECB or nearly free and I keep those coupons in the front of my organizer to add in if I need a sub or filler - right now I have been using the Afrin Q's I got from buzz - $0.99 after coupon but able to use a $/$$ off with it so nothing extra OOP.

It is the VA store that you told me about. They only let you get two!

I called all our local stores today and they said they were out. VA said they only had 4 left but when I got there I saw a stack of 20 easy. I can understand them wanting to spread the bargain out, but the ECB is 5, they shouldn't limit it to two!

Our VA store has new year napkins on sale for 15 cents, I used one of those as a filler for my mom.

We did three transactions for her tonight. She got the pepsi deal, 2 cottonelles, advil, robitussin, satyfree, toothpaste, another filler shampoo, 4 soy joy and those 15 napkins. Spent about $25 oop to get her started and she got 18.39 in ECBs! I think she's hooked!

Sure she is hooked. Who would not be if you get free stuff.

In VA today I am going in the opposite direction NE I think. DH has me on a wild goose chase and what better way to shop different CVSs.

Since January they have printed a MONTHLY flyer that you can pick up in the stores. Hopefully they will keep doing them. Also sometimes people stumble onto a "secret" deal or an early start deal - like last weeks b1g1f M&M deal - and those we have to post to keep each other informed.

I called CS last night about the Sambucol deal. They said the ECB will print in 48 hours. We will see. That is the 4th one on this card but the first time ECB did not print.

It is really aggravating when we have to keep a check to be sure we get what we are supposed to.

Still can't find any Cottonelle - I guess we'll have to wait till next Christmas to wipe - anyway, found the dial 3 pack - went up to pay, cashier rang it up, looked at the register, looked back at the soap, looked at the register, soap, register....you get the idea - she then had to call the manager to verify if she could sell it to me for that price, manager said, yeah, of course, then the cashier was afraid I was also going to get the ecb's back on it as well!! It's like it was coming out of her pocket - the receipt prints and lo and behold the ecb generates, that really put her in a tizzy, her final words to me???

Next time you are checking out with her ask her " Excuse me, I was courious...have you ever tried a Fleet Enima???" she will most likely look at you strange and say ' AHHHhh No" then smile very nicely and say "Oooh you should try one....i think it will help alot" she wont have a clue to what you are talking about..so shell say "For What?" and then you can say " It will help get whatever is stuck up you a** out" And make sure you say it with the smilel on your face!

Went looking for the clearanced offers -- No Cottonelle 20-roll, Dial 3-pack, or Q-tips -- but I did well thanks to someone posting here that you could use the $10/$50 CVS printable coupon along with the $10/$50 CRT. Bought MILK & FOOD, something we forget that CVS can be good for:
3 Ragu Pasta Sauces, $1.50 each (I usually buy for $1 on sale at supermarket, but this was OK)
4 Skippy Peanut Butters, $1.50 each (DS and DD lunch sandwiches most every school day)
4 Boxes of Nabisco Cookies, $2.50 each (not many cookies in box, but treat for DH and kids + coupon)
1 Garelick Gallon Skim Milk, $3.49 (better price than supermarket, but this week I got free w/ coupon)
15 SunMaid Raisins 20 oz, $1.99 (DS and DD take in their lunch most every school day)
1 Stay Free Clean, $3.29 (free after ECB)
Total was $54 or so
Less $10/$50 CVS printable coupon
Less $10/$50 CRT

Got back $3 ECB (Skippy/Ragu) and $3.29 ECB (Stay Free) and another $10/$50 CRT. Only have about $15 of total ECBs including today's, so may not use that $10/$50 unless I can put something good together with little OOP.

went to CVS today, but they didn't have any Cottonelle, Dial, or QTips on clearance. =( I was SOOOO looking forward to the Cottonelle since there are now 6 people living in our home (my dad is now living with us due to health reasons) Granted, my 2 youngest children do not use TP yet, but we seem to go through a lot of it!!!!!!!

Got 21 back in ECB--going back for mayo and will get another 3ECB.

I only use Huggies pull ups--so I gave the supremes for a shower and the other pack to a friend that uses huggies. It was a win win for me.

Here is my question the Razor I bought is the same one I bought last week that gave me 6ECB's but it did not give them last night. I guess I am now out of my 2 off coupon. I need to return this and repurchase? How does that work?

I called 1800SHOPCVS today about my P&G ECB that didn't print from last Saturday. He said that my Tide detergent didn't qualify for the promotion. He said only the one pictured in the ad qualified. I said, that can't be true because the ad only pictures liquid but in the fine print it says powder qualifies too. So I don't buy that excuse. To me the ad says Tide Detergent Liquid 24-32 loads. I bought Tide 32 load detergent but it was the HE version not regular scent? (It did ring up the sale price of $4.99 also). So don't you think that should qualify? He said he was going to "look into it".

I bought the 4 pack of Kraft Mac & Cheese. Written on it $4.99 with $2 ECB's.

Very wierd...they rang up for $3 ea I bought 5.....but only got back $4 in ECB's.

Any ideas? I called the customer service number and complained. We'll see if they correct it and I get the rest ($6) of ECB's.

Went to 3 stores...found only 2 Dial packs. boo-hoo (those ECB's did print)

Here is my question the Razor I bought is the same one I bought last week that gave me 6ECB's but it did not give them last night. I guess I am now out of my 2 off coupon. I need to return this and repurchase? How does that work?

Only the Phenom razor works this week. You won't be out your coupon because if you return and repurchase, you will get back the full price of the item, even though you used a coupon. Then you rebuy. So you shouldn't be out any money.

Okay. I must first thank you for the insight to the Cottonelle deal!! We have 3 CVS's in our town and was able to find some at the last one I went to!! They had like 20+ pkgs of it!! I got 4 (I already got one a few weeks ago), and there was even a sign that that said they were 50% off!!

Oh, also I grabbed a Dr. Pepper (my pop of choice) for my caffiene addiction and when I got home I noticed it printed at the bottom under the "Pepsi Co. Spend 20 get 10 EB". I was excited to see that!! I thought the Pepsi deal was on Pepsi products only and that's the way the display shows in the stores and in the ad. Is this a rookie mistake!? I almost missed a great deal!!

I think with the Mac and Cheese you have to buy 2 of the packs to get the $2 ECB.
