CVS Dec 6 - Dec 12

What did you find at Walgreens? I may check it out this week since CVS isn't too exciting!

Snow Globes for 39c, Christmas candy for 39c and Hersheys 2/$5 with a $1 RR and I had coupons, also 20oz Pop for 39c , envelopes for 49c and tape for 49c . All stuff I needed for stockings or for wrapping etc !! RiteAid also had water for 2.99!! I am well stocked for CVS usual stuff like shampoos, soap, toothpaste so just didn't go again this week !! Hoping next week has more for me !!!

What? You mean you didn't get my PM inviting you along?!? Doggone DISboards must have been down again. :rolleyes2 :rotfl:

I sure could've used you here when that cashier told me Merry Brites wasn't a CVS product and I couldn't use the 2/10 on two Santa hats and two bags of GE candy. Earlier in the week, we had made friends with the store manager who gave us his business card and said to contact him with any problems anytime we're in the Orlando area. :thumbsup2 Unfortunately, he wasn't working yesterday morning when I needed his input, but I told the cashier upon leaving that he had better check with Chris about the Merry Brites line at CVS because he was misinformed. Chris had given us the F&F cards and I had also gotten a couple from Rob before flying down here so I did make use of those over the weekend. :yay:

The weather hasn't been kind to us, but compared to back home, it's probably been a whole lot better. Right now I'm just hoping our flight takes off on schedule and lands on time in the right city. :scared1:

Sounds like you are coming home today, I sure hope not, it's a big mess. Sorry the weather wasn't great there, I went through that last Feb. when it was colder there than in MN, I never thought that would be possible!

I haven't had trouble with the CVS brands at all (Merry Bright, Gold Emblem, etc.) and when I first started this, the stores here would push all the CVS-exclusive too - Skin Effects, Playskool, 24/7, etc. It's too bad you had to go through that, I might've called 1-800-SHOPCVS because they would've called the store on that one right away as they are now tracking CVS Brand purchases on the receipts. Not really worth the time for $2 though.

Have a safe trip back home!

I made a killing this week at Walgreens with Triaminic - for every 2 boxes of thin strips I bought, I made a $5 RR (plus no tax - yay!). I used two $3 mfgs. and a $2 Wags coupon from their Healthy Savings book (codes are 5556 and 5557 if you can get the store to just type in the code, they don't need the coupon), my subtotal was $0 and out came a $5. 2 Theraflus are free after RR and coupons too - there are $1.50 blinkies at all our stores and a $2 Wags (codes 5596 and 5597), also $2 coupons http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qibkdkp65261768&bt=wi&o=54401&c=TR&p=cJZevRMB (internet explorer link). I've been buying the Theraflu that only has guaifenesin and tylenol in it as it's much safer to take than the ones with all that other stuff in it.

Anyway, I was able to end up with $30 in free RRs from Triaminic, and Walgreens full-size Webkinz are $9.99, so I used the 8 for $1 Christmas gift bags (with Wags coupon) as fillers and got 3 Webkinz for about 30 cents plus tax.

One type of Triaminic thin strips is only a child's dose of benadryl so a decent item to have on hand.

Thanks guys!

Lanajae, do you remember where you found the Triaminic coupons? Also I don't have the Healthy Savings booklet but do you think clerks will know how to type in just the code?

The $3 thin strips coupon was in last Sunday's Smart Source and there was also a $2 one for any type. We got them in both competing papers.

The clerk does know how to type in the codes, but some of them just refuse to do it because it makes them feel powerful or something, I have clerks here that might do something one day and not the next so I can never say anything is for certain at Walgreens.

You might find a Healthy Savings book from their pharmacy in holders in the waiting room or on the counter.

I did find the Healthy Savings book! And I was able to get the Theraflu free (with overage I think) but the Triaminic was sold out. Forgot to get a rain check, but was still happy.
Also got 12 packs of soda, mens socks :) and candy on sale.
Received an extra $5 RR for having over $25, but only paid $14.xx OOP and got a total of $10 RR back. So really only paid $4.xx OOP, which is good, I think for Walgreens, at least for me.
I might end up liking Walgreens as much as CVS. Thanks Lanajae :goodvibes

Wow, you did fantastic! I forgot all about that bonus $5 this week, maybe I should go tonight and figure something out.

Excellent plan! I will do the same tomorrow! :thumbsup2

If your stores take expired coupons, I found $3 mfgs. for disposable Soleil 4-packs in the 9-20-09 Smart Source.

Thanks, LanaJae! Coupons like that make such a difference. Glad I saved a couple inserts dated 9/20! I go on cleaning binges and was afraid I threw all my September inserts out before leaving for FL. This time it paid off to be a pack rat! :rolleyes1

I'm glad you found them! I keep my inserts by date in a boot/shoe box and they fit almost perfect. As soon as I can't close the lid, I recycle the bottom inch.

I was able to get everything today, was so excited and I didn't even get to the store until noon. Instead of Solieil, I used the 9-20-09 $2 coupon for the Bic men's on a 4+2 bonus pack. I get all these expensive free men's razors and I have my oldest son telling me that the throw-away ones work better. Was also happy there were some bows with odd colors such as aqua, I can use those year round. I just hate buying bows and things that get thrown out so free works good lol

:yay::yay::yay::yay: Thank you!!! I assume you can only print one per card and a second computer won't be of any help, right?

I'm surprised I didn't run into you there, but maybe I was there more like at 11 A.M. I liked the unique bow colors, too! DH liked the free cookies that Rob had set up. :lmao: Unfortunately, I keep my old inserts in the green WAGS reusable bags so I can hoard a ton before I recycle them. I think I just got rid of June, July, and August inserts before my trip.

I bet you can use that coupon unlimited times on any card, just guessing - it looks like the old ones.

I wish we would've been there at the same time, I must've missed you by just minutes! I took a free bottle of water but didn't see Rob, just Jen (manager Terry's daughter from the old store), she's so sweet.
